SHRI MEHRAJ SUCCEEDED SATGURU SHRI DEVCHANDRA JI

CHAPTER 16, - SADGURU ANTARDHYAN LEELA.

Shri Devchandra ji was seriously ill, when Shri Mehraj Thakur arrived there from Dharol. He prostrated at the Lotus Feet of Sadguru Dhani Shri Devchandra ji by His head. Shri Devchandra ji enquired who he was. Then Shri Mehraj told, “I am Indravati –the Divine Soul (Mehraj Thakur).
When Shri Devchandra ji heard the name of Shri Mehraj, He was very much happy. He said, “O Mehraj! You have come.” Then they both began to talk.
Shri Mehraj very humbly enquired from Shri Devchandra ji about His welfare. Shri Devchandra ji said, “I have been remembering you repeatedly and sent the Divine Souls for you many a time.”
Shri Mehraj then replied to Shri Devchandra ji, “I was busy there with the worldly affairs because I was in the employment of Kallaji, the Ruler of Dharol State. Now I have come after handing over the responsibilities of my job to one of the assistants.
“You say that you called me by sending messengers but no body told me like this. I have now come without wasting any time, when BAL BAI told me about your ailing condition with your anxiety to meet me. I at once complied with and prostrated at your Lotus Feet.”
Shri Devchandra ji again asked, “Will you go again to resume your job of the kind of the worldly affairs? If you go, will you come again and agree to take the responsibility of the religious work, which I have been doing till now?
“I have remembered and called you because I have experienced that the Divine Soul of Indravati – ‘Your Super Soul’ was lamenting in the Super Eternal Abode – Paramdham.
“It was not possible for me to rest in Paramdham beholding you lamenting.
“It is a matter of great pleasure to me that you have come. Now I have to ask you to obey me.”
Shri Devchandra ji asked Shri Mehraj to have meal for which purpose a large sized plate (Thal), full of various kinds of the edibles was readily made available to Shri Mehraj. Shri Mehraj then invited Bihari ji to sit together with Him to take the meal.
He asked, “O Bihari ji! Please come along and sit here with me. Both of us shall take the meal together.”
Bihari ji refused to take meal together. Then again Shri Mehraj asked him and also requested Shri Devchandra ji to ask Bihari ji to sit together with Him.
Then Shri Devchandra ji enquired, “What you are discussing about, when you two belong to Paramdham.”
Shri Mehraj explained, “I like to sit with Bihari ji to take meal together, so kindly order him to obey.”
Shri Devchandra ji asked, “You and Bihari ji belong to the same Super Eternal Abode, then why not you being the Divine Souls sit together. When Mehraj invites Bihari ji! You should have your seat near Him.
Then Bihari ji came up to sit together and take meal. They also began to talk.
Shri Mehraj also narrated the whole story about His past to Shri Devchandra ji.
Shri Devchandra ji heard Him peacefully and said, “You have done better as you have given up all the worldly affairs and dedicated yourself to take up the religious work according to my intention.”
Shri Mehraj met with Shri Devchandra ji on the Eighth Day of the dark fortnight of lunar month of Bhadrapad in Vikram Samvat 1712, the day of Janmashtmi festival (25th August 1655 A D). Since then He spent 22 days in the service of Sadguru Shri Devchandra ji. Then Shri Devchandra ji remembered duly awakened the Super Eternal Abode and departed from the world on Fourteenth Day of the bright half of  the lunar month of Bhadrapad in Vikram Samvat 1712 (i.e. 15th September 1655, the Wednesday).
After HIS departure, all the associates forgot their relation of Paramdham. They got busy in the worldly affairs again as they were usually doing.
It was their fate according to which the associates acted. It happened according to the prophecy written in Loh- Mophuz, the secrets of the Lord that the Divine Souls could meet Shri Devchandra ji from whom they would learn something.
As far as the principles of the religion organized by Shri Devchandra ji was concerned, all of the associates forgot and no body showed any interest to follow the contents of the Divine Message.
After many days Bal Bai approached Shri Mehraj with her decision in respect of the future programme.
She enquired about the future programme from Shri Mehraj in order to continue the religious work.
“The ‘Chair’ of Shri Devchandra ji has its own importance; hence it should be occupied by the right heir.” Smt. Balbai spoke to Mehraj. .
“Because it is lying vacant, no body has relation to attend there, nor does any body remember Paramdham.”
She continued, “We must decide, who the right person is to occupy the same? Bihari ji is the real heir; hence he has rights of occupying it.”
Shri Mehraj agreed to accept the proposal of Bal Bai and said, “It is the best solution. All of the disciples together should celebrate the function of seating Bihari ji on the vacant ‘Chair’.”
Shri Mehraj continued, “This decision is worth appreciation by my heart and this should be accomplished unavoidably. I shall have decent talk with all other disciples of Sadguru.
“First of all I shall make my best to let Shri Bihari ji sit on the sacred ‘Chair’ of Shri Devchandra ji. Then I shall first prostrate to him so that other associates might follow me.”
Having taken decision in consultation with Shri Mehraj ji, Smt. Bal Bai arrived at her home. Shri Mehraj pondered over the issue to fix a suitable occasion to celebrate the sacred function.
Shri Mehraj ji in the presence of all other associates honored Bihari ji by offering the sacred ‘Chair’ of Sadguru Dhani Shri Devchandra ji and they all celebrated the function with the utmost happiness.
Shri Laldas ji concluded the chapter containing the events related with Navtanpuri Dham. Addressing the other Divine Souls He said that all should listen to details in respect of the biography of Shri Mehraj Thakur after Bihari ji took the sacred seat as a successor of Shri Devchandra ji, the First Preceptor of ‘Nijanand Religion’.

CHAPTER 17, - TARTAM VANEE AVTARAN.

In the lunar month of Aswin of the year 1712 of Vikram Samvat (1655 A D), Bihari ji was honoured as the successor of Shri Devchandra ji. Shri Mehraj Thakur, who also called every associate to pay a visit to respect Bihari ji, conveyed this news to all the disciples.
Shri Mehraj asked every associate to give up the worldly inclinations and come to adhere to the preaching and bow before Bihari ji.
On learning about the succession of Bihari ji on the sacred ‘Chair’ of Shri Devchandra ji, all concerned associates gathered daily in the morning and evening to listen to Bihari ji’s preaching.
The disciples residing near or far away heard about the daily preaching, as were delivered by Bihari ji.
The associates began to celebrate the function of succession joyfully at their residences too. Those who were absent, when could realise their relations of Paramdham of being the Divine Souls, they were ashamed for their negligence.
According to Quran, Yahiya, the son of Ibrahim Paigambar (one of the prophets of Islam) disseminated the fame of his father. Similarly, Shri Mehraj Thakur, who was, in fact, the successor for accomplishment of the job entrusted to Him by Sadguru, acting as honourable son, took up the sacred job in His hand. And He attracted every body to memorize Paramdham.
But Shri Mehraj honoured Bihari ji and He used to occupy His seat in the first row to listen to Bihari ji’s preaching. And whenever He found any other associates creating disturbance in the assembly, He scolded him/ them for his/ their fault and gave all of them a good understanding to adhere to the preaching regarding Paramdham.
Afterward, Shri Mehraj used to explain the detailed description to other associates. He told them all to pay due attention treating Bihari ji as their Sadguru and not otherwise.
By this practice of concentration in respect of giving explanation of Bihari ji’s preaching regarding Paramdham, Shri Mehraj was graced by the Lord to be capable to visualize Paramdham Himself and give a vivid description to other associates.
He explained to His associates, “We all belong to our Super Eternal Abode – ‘Paramdham’, in comparison with which the dreamy existence of this world is nothing, whereas we are as nearer to our Lord as our main vein in the throat is nearer to life centre in our body.”
This made the other associates to possess the treasure of the joy in their hearts with their hearty understanding of being the Beloved Consorts of the Lord Supreme and sitting nearer to HIM.
Shri Mehraj proceeded on giving the fullest details of Paramdham day by day as He had been visualizing the same. The associates were getting lot of pleasure by adhering to the details of Paramdham and the preaching of Shri Mehraj.
Shri Mehraj thought, “Let me please the associates (Sundersath) with some service, which I can not carry out in Paramdham. The particular service, which I can do only in this world and not in Paramdham, has to be carried out by me; but what kind of service I should do?”
He continued thinking that any thing to be done in the world would be possible with the wealth only and as far as the wealth is concerned, I should pick up some worldly affairs. To enter into the ocean of the world is risky, but I should have to do something very cautiously.
With this purpose, Shri Mehraj Thakur, after consultation with Bihari ji, started Government Service and took over the charge of the Minister to the Vazir of Jamnagar State.
Shri Mehraj had an acquaintance with Vazir; hence He got the job to work as his Minister. Still, Shri Mehraj spared time and attended Bihari ji’s association two times –morning and evening.
It became very difficult to devote sufficient time to religious purpose because of the heavy burden of Government job.
Even then, Shri Mehraj managed to attend the association every day regularly at the cost of physical labour and tolerance of mental anguish, as it was very important to be religious life. Every Divine Soul must do that at any cost.
Every day before dawn He used to arrive to see Bihari ji and bid an honourable salute and then He listened to his preaching.
It became usual for Shri Mehraj to attend His office only after adhering to Bihari ji’s preaching. He was performing the Government job very cautiously.
He used to remain busy in carrying out His official duty the whole day and then to leave the office about one hour before the dusk, in order to be present in the association in time regularly.
The associates in the evening meeting used to practise deep meditation remembering Paramdham. Bihari ji then described the specialty of the ‘Royal Garments’ put on by Lord Supreme (Shri Raj ji) and HIS Better Half (Shri Shyama ji) in Paramdham.
Shri Mehraj got satisfied to have fed His Soul with the religious preaching. According to Him, the dust of the Feet of the adept associates (Divine Souls) was pious to have it over the head honorably.
Shri Mehraj decided to celebrate the function of a ‘Grand Feat’ by inviting all Sundersath to participate in the same on a particular day.
He decided to offer the decent garments to the honourable Sundersath (Divine Souls) for adorning them, because Sadguru Shri Devchandra ji had handed over His job of awakening the Divine Souls.
He thought that He could please the Divine Souls only by His best services, which was possible on the earth only and not on attaining the conscious presence in Paramdham, duly awakened from the dream of the illusive world.
Shri Mehraj thought, “I have to avail of the opportunity of performing the service to please the associates with whom I should behave affectionately, remembering our relations of Super Eternal Abode, where we all are ‘One’ and we play there together.
“And by satisfying every associate with my utmost hearty services, the desires of all the concerned would be fulfilled in ‘Maya’, then we would have delightful talk together in Paramdham.
“The Supreme Lord (Shri Raj ji) put the Divine Souls on trial in the dreamy world, where the Divine Souls have affection with each other even in the illusive world and by this behaviour the Divine Souls are recognized to be belonging to Paramdham.”
Shri Mehraj Thakur having a great deal of affection in His heart towards other associates (Sundersath) became busy in making preparation to celebrate the feast function on a particular date in order to please all with His services and for this very purpose He engaged a few of His associates to help Him.
.Shri Mehraj told them,” You are well-versed in performing due service to please Sundersath (associates). You should give a good performance in pleasing every body with your honest and hard working: please treat this as my command.”
He added, “Ever keep prepared the ‘selves’ to please all the associates with all kinds of services and spend money for the same liberally without any hesitation. I have handed over the whole store of all sorts of commodities; now you shall be responsible to comply with the requirements of the Sundersath.”
The precious and beautiful ornaments and garments were arranged to be put on by Bihari ji according to his liking. He devoted himself to please Bihari ji as Preceptor, with His heart, full of love for him.
The attendants maintained the relations of Paramdham with Sundersath and also in accordance with the orders of Shri Mehraj: they performed the best of the services to please their souls.
Shri Mehraj purchased weapons like dagger etc. to be presented to Nagji Bhai, the nephew of Gangji Bhai and the ornaments and dresses for other associates.
Shri Mehraj fixed the particular day to celebrate the feat-function on the ‘Anniversary Day’ of Sadguru Shri Devchandra ji. He planned to invite all the Sundersath of Jamnagar as well as those residing out of Jamnagar, too, in order to get together at the occasion.
He asked His attendants to invite all associates. He also asked them to store flour, sugar, ghee and other things for arranging the feast.
Every thing required for the celebration of the function was stored at the residence of Shri Mehraj. The cloth in lot was also procured for the preparation of the special garments as offerings.
But just some days ago, some mischievous fellow made a false complaint to Vazir, the chief of the State against Shri Mehraj with the allegation of His incurring extraordinary expenses. The Vazir did not investigate into the matter and thought that Shri Mehraj was wrong.
Shri Laldas ji opined that the Lord Supreme had a plan to manage for an important event; hence the ‘Maya’ had played its role.
The Vazir kept Shri Mehraj in his confinement at his residence. The various materials stored by Shri Mehraj were also confiscated forcefully.
Simultaneously, Qutub Khan, the Viceroy of the Emperor, who had his headquarters at Ahmedabad, invaded Jamnagar in Vikram Samvat 1714 (1657 A D). Jamsatta, the Ruler of Jamnagar State and the Vazir had to leave Jamnagar for Ahmedabad in order to convince the Viceroy to stop the war.
Shri Mehraj in the confinement room of Vazir’s residence was at ease to concentrate as if He was in Prabodhpuri (as per Quran, it was Habsa).
He prayed the Lord Supreme, “O Lord! Why such has happened? I was going to perform the religious function, but I am now helpless. Why it is so?
“I had a plan to collect all the Divine Souls one day to celebrate the religious function and make them all enlightened to feel their presence in Paramdham. I was not interested in any other thing of the self interest.”
By deep meditation, Shri Mehraj had the Grace of the Divine Soul of Shri Devchandra ji, who had already entered in His pious heart. Shyama ji, who descended in the guise of Shri Devchandra ji in this world, appeared in person before Shri Mehraj in the confinement room and consoled Him, “O Indravati! You have to do a lot of work, which you will accomplish at a place on the bank of River Ken in Vindhya ranges (in the east of that place). You shall have to enlighten Shakundal and Sukumar, the two eminent Divine Souls.” Then Shyama ji disappeared. Shri Mehraj felt consolation in His heart and dedicated Himself to Sadguru Dhani Shri Devchandra ji by Chitvani (deep contemplation).
Shri Devchandra ji was the ‘Advent of Shyama ji’; hence Shri Mehraj concentrated to see the figure of Shyama ji, who appeared just a few moments ago, since Shri Devchandra ji was abiding in His heart by HIS Divine Soul.
Shri Mehraj described in verses (in Gujarati) the beauty of Shyama ji’s Swaroop (figure) as in Paramdham. It was the first inspiration. The second one was in respect of the description of Lord Supreme (Shri Raj ji).
Thereafter, Shri Mehraj got inspiration to describe the group movement of all the Divine Souls of Paramdham, who played Raas with Lord Supreme in the same manner as they play ‘Love’ joyfully in Paramdham eternally.
In addition to above, Shri Mehraj uttered verses (in Gujarati) describing the details about the ‘Love-plays’ played between the Lord and the Divine Souls (Gopies) and Kumarikas in Raas as well as in Brij. He concluded that on going through these verses thoroughly, the Sundersath would get enlightened to experience the ‘Ecstasy of Paramdham’ and His achievement would be a great boon more than any other sort of service, He could do.
Shri Mehraj immersed in the ocean of joy having forgotten the agony he was feeling due to the separation of Shri Devchandra ji. He narrated Raas in full details as He played there personally as Gop-Vadhu. His two brothers were also with Him in confinement, who also got joy to the extremity in their hearts.
Shyamal ji, Shri Mehraj’s elder brother who heard the verses of Raas-plays, got awakened by his soul and he could know who Shri Mehraj was. (He recognized Him to be his Soul’s Lord).
There exists a reference in Quran about Habsa that Bible was revealed to an Emperor of Habsa and accordingly the prophecy of Quran came to be true. Shri Mehraj also revealed ‘Anjeer’ in Habsa, which contains the revelation of the secrets of Bible regarding Love, as prophesied in Quran as indications only. Shri Mehraj described in verses ‘Raas’ during the period of His confinement (as indicated in respect of Habsa Emperor in Quran).
During those days when the ‘Raas’ description was being revealed by Shri Mehraj, the surrounding atmosphere was filled in by the Lord Supreme with the Divine Light. Shri Mehraj reached the state of deep meditation, as if He were present close to the Lord, having no sense of His being in the dreamy world.
And meanwhile, when Shri Mehraj was narrating the details of Raas, He was charged by Supreme Lord’s Grace and He spoke the ‘Divine Wisdom’ (as per inspiration of the Lord) to awaken the Divine Souls, which was the motto of His life, as was spoken to Him by Shri Devchandra ji.
Thereafter, Shri Mehraj spoke the verses of ‘Prakash’ contained in His Voluminous Book –Tartamsagar. Prakash verses are in Gujarat (Jamboor, the holy book of Jews) and these verses as spoken by Shri Mehraj were stored in black and white by Uddhav Thakur, the youngest brother of Shri Mehraj, who was recognized as having impression of consciousness of the Divine Soul of Uttam Bai of Paramdham.
Shri Mehraj spoke the verses (as per the inspiration of the Lord) and Uddhav Thakur wrote the same by a piece of charcoal on the walls of the room, which, simultaneously he copied on paper later on to present the same in shape of a book.
Anjeer (Bible or Raas) & Jamboor (Prakash), these two books were composed there and thereafter in ‘Shatruti’ the third booklet, Shri Mehraj described the feelings of agony of the separation from Shri Devchandra ji.
The fourth book is ‘Kalash’ among the fourteen books of the Volume, Tartamsagar. The seed of the fourth book sprouted here (two verses only were composed in Gujarat) and a part of the book ‘Kalash was composed later on in the ship while going to Due (Deep) island. This book was completed (in Gujarat) at Surat during His seventeen months’ stay.
‘Behad Vani’ one of the chapters of the second book ‘Prakash Gujarati’ were spoken in verses in the ship while going to Deu. When Shri Mehraj went through the verses of this chapter, He found the same revealing many mysteries; He named this chapter as the ‘Crest of a temple’ (Shri Kalash).
Many chapters of Raas revealing the plays in Raas were spoken in verses in Gujarat during the period, Shri Mehraj had stayed at Merata. The Chapters contained in ‘Keertan’ revealing the mysteries of the Hindus’ scriptures related with the philosophy were composed in the way while going to Merata.
As the book ‘Kalash’ also called ‘Toret’ was spoken at Surat, the next book ‘Sanandh’, which means documents related with Quran was revealed at Anoopsahar.
The two books, originally composed in Gujarat named ‘Prakash and Kalash’ were rearranged in Hindustani language for the information and knowledge of all the associates.
Many other books were started during His stay at Ramnagar and were completed at ‘Parna (now known as Panna – in Madhya Pradesh State of India).
‘Khulasa’ & ‘Marfat Sagar’ are two books revealing the Islamic context of Quran and Hadeesh of Mohammed Paigambar, which were revealed at Panna in order to convince Hindus and Muslims alike.
The book ‘Parikrama’ and the vivid descriptions of ‘Splendour of Supreme Lord and HIS better Half’ in different ‘Seven Swaroop’ contained in the books ‘Sagar’ and ‘Sringar’ were revealed in Panna.
‘Jo Pardakshnaa Nijdhaamkee, Saaton Saroop Shri Raj. So Saarey Parna Miney, Vaastey Momin Ke Kaaj’
‘Khilwat’ with ‘Sagar’ were completed at Panna along with other more books.
Swami Shri Laldas ji recognized Shri Mehraj as possessing the ‘Honourable Chair’ of ‘Hadi- Preceptor (Sadguru), Menhdi (Judge) to justify the existence of different faiths and Imam- the founder of the faith to give relief to the world. He says that hereinafter the history related with Nijanand Sampradaay (Pranami Religion) would be described.
                                                                                             Prakaran 1`7, Chopai 793.

CHAPTER 18 – SUNDERSATH PRABODH.

Shri Laldas ji describes in this chapter, “Let me give description of Habsa (the state of confinement) again, which is known as Prabodhpuri (the place where Shri Mehraj got fully enlightened and He expressed the Sacred Words of the Lord Supreme as verses, compiled as ‘Raas’, ‘Prakash’ & ‘Shatruti’ (three books of Tartamsagar). He continues, “In the confinement room, Shri Mehraj had to stay for twelve months of the year in Vikram Samvat 1714 – 15 (1657 – 58 A D)”.
It took one year complete to have finalised the negotiations with Qutub Khan at Ahmedabad; then the Chief Minister of the State of Jamnagar came back to home. Immediately the ladies, who witnessed all the strange and heavenly events, which happened in the confinement room, asked him as to why he kept Shri Mehraj in such a state of confinement?
The ladies added, “You have looted the property of Shri Mehraj forcefully and simultaneously kept Him along with His two brothers (Shyamal ji, the elder and Uddhav ji, the youngest) in the confinement. That, too, one complete year passed. It is too much; you have troubled Him for nothing.
“Please make them free at the earliest. Please beg pardon and you must confer on Him the due honour with which they would go to their home, without any ill-feeling”.
The Chief Minister (Diwan) released them immediately.  Shri Mehraj experienced the Grace of the Lord and He spoke verses as per inspiration of revealing the Divine Wisdom. He had no other thoughts in His mind except Paramdham.
Shri Mehraj reached Bihari ji’s house and prostrated before him. He handed over the three books (composed in Prabodhpuri) and described verbally how He spent the period of one year in the confinement room. On handing over the books to Bihari ji, Shri Mehraj got relaxed & felt a lot of happiness in the heart.
Shri Mehraj described to Bihari ji that He could speak the verses in respect of the Divine Wisdom only when He got charged by Lord Supreme, who showered HIS Grace.
All the associates (Sundersath), who were present there, beheld the Sacred Books and concluded that the Lord’s Grace were showered over Shri Mehraj, whom Sadguru Shri Devchandra ji had rightly made His successor to lead the associates and accept others as His disciples to enlighten their Divine Souls, as Shri Mehraj was fully capable to do so. Hence He complied with HIS Divine Order.
In the Shatruti booklet, Shri Mehraj spoke verses as if His Divine Soul lamented with the sense of feelings of mental anguish because of the separation from the Lord. Bihari ji got stunned to read the contents of Shatruti booklet. He concluded that Shri Mehraj ji would definitely take over the leadership from him.
Bihari ji then thought, “Shri Mehraj has approached near Sadguru Shri Devchandra ji, by means of His work of the verses”. He expressed that Shri Mehraj possessed the Grace of the Lord. Bihari ji became hopeless to continue the Chairmanship of Pranami Sect.
Bihari ji became jealous; hence he seized the books and did not disclose them to other disciples (Sundersath). He asked Shri Mehraj, “Why have you expressed your mental agony of the feeling of separation from Sadguru? Because I am here as Sadguru, you could have thought of me only.”
Bihari ji asked Shri Mehraj, “I was here in the same town (City); still you expressed the sorrows of the separation. Why? Please give me reply.
“O Mehraj! Leave these books of poetic expressions aside and get busy with the associates in the same manner as we have been doing hither-to-fore by preaching them.”
Because of the ban imposed by Bihari ji, no disciple of Shri Devchandra ji could learn about a word of the books composed by Shri Mehraj ji. As such, nothing of the Sacred Words of Shri Mehraj’s composition could be available to them despite a great anxiety of all the associates.
It was Vikram Samvat 1716 (1659 A D) when Shri Mehraj left Jamnagar for Junagarh to commence development work of a new habilitation (township) near it, as per the instructions of the ruler of Jamnagar in whose employment he had been continuing after the release with due honour from Jamsatta-Vazir’s confinement (for one complete year).
(In the way, Shri Mehraj stayed for a while near Dhora ji, where Veerbhan along with his daughter Tej Kunwar met Him. Smt Phool Bai’s Soul entered in Tej Kunwar’s heart. She pointed out to her father that Shri Mehraj was her spouse in her previous incarnation. On confirmation of this fact, Veerbhan requested Shri Mehraj to accept the proposal of the marriage of his daughter. Smt. Tej Kunwar also expressed her desire to perform physical and mental services to please Shri Mehraj because she had eternal relation of Paramdham. Shri ji agreed. Shri Mehraj’s second marriage with Tej Kunwar was held in Vikram Samvat 1717 i.e. 1659-60 A D).
In Vikram Samvat 1717 (1660 A D), Shri Mehraj stayed in the newly constructed and developed township. Thereafter, next year in Vikram Samvat 1718, He arrived at Junagarh, where one, Kanh ji Bhai, His disciple used to attend the discourses delivered by Shri Mehraj ji.
Kanh ji Bhai was a domestic servant of Shri Har ji Vyas, a Brahmin. Once when Har ji Bhai was very seriously ill with no hope of his survival, he was laid down on the floor (since removed from the bedstead as per custom being followed by Hindus, waiting for the exhaling of the patient about to die).
While lying on the floor, as per folklore, Vyas ji was made to offer gold, a cow, grain etc. in the charity to the other deserving Brahmin, but at the same time Vyas ji came in good sense and he exclaimed, “What you all are doing? Because I do not belong to the Heaven (Baikunth).”
(It is a general notion that the charity of gold, a cow etc. performed just before dying, would lead the soul of the deceased to reach Heaven that exists in the Destructible Fourteen planes).
Shri Har ji Vyas added, “Why do you insist upon the performance of the charity rituals to compel my soul to face the God of the Death (Yamraj), whereas my soul has hailed from the Indestructible Abode and not to these Destructible fourteen planes. I am not happy with what you intend.”
“I still feel mental-agony, while leaving the world, for what did I speak about, no body so far disagreed with me; and what I did not admit to be true, no one could oppose me.
“I am repenting for my egotism, as no body opposed me and every body had admitted to regard me as an erudite man.”
Kanh ji heard him and thought, “How Vyas ji uttered this all? Does he belong to the group of the Divine Souls like us?”
“He has spoken in the same fashion in which a Divine Soul duly enlightened should speak. If he survives, I shall try my best to quench his thirst.”
Kanh ji revealed this all to Shri Mehraj ji. Shri Mehraj took the same very seriously and kept it in His mind.
Shri Mehraj asked Kanh ji to wait and bring Har ji Vyas to Him (after his recovery from the illness) so that his problems are solved and his soul is enlightened.
In order to satisfy the quest of Har ji Vyas’ Soul, Kanh ji, who was his servant, tried his best to get him recovered from the illness at the earliest, so that Har ji Vyas might meet Shri Mehraj ji and know about his own soul (on listening to the preaching of Shri Mehraj ji).
Kanh ji worked hard to collect the vegetables of his choice from the farms and gardens. Vyas recovered very soon and expressed his happiness to Kanh ji for his service.
He asked Kanh ji, “Ask for any thing you will. I shall definitely give you the same. You have pleased me with the utmost care you have taken of mine and performed the best of the services.”
Shri Har ji Vyas continued, “No one could have obliged me, even he could have offered me one thousand rupees, but you performed services by collecting fresh vegetables from the farms and I got recovered from the illness so soon.”
Kanh ji did not disclose what he wanted, but he told Vyas ji, “I know you would give me what I want. I shall speak to you, please wait.”
For a long period Kanh ji had been pleasing his master, Vyas ji with his earnest services; hence again, Vyas ji enquired, “What is your desire, which I should fulfil?”
Then Kanh ji spoke, “I want one thing. There has come here a saint: you may please deliver your discourses to him. If you would do so, I shall be ever grateful to you.”
Har ji Vyas congratulated Kanh ji for his desire of delivering the discourses, as he did not want any valuable thing for himself.
Vyas ji asked Kanh ji, “Where is the Saint? Please call Him here. I shall do what you want in exchange of your constant services.”
Kanh ji then managed to have a meeting of Shri Mehraj ji with Har ji Vyas (at the latter’s residence). Vyas ji got heartiest consolation on meeting and began to talk with Shri Mehraj.
He asked, “Where do you stay here?” Shri Mehraj replied, “I have arrived here from some other place to listen to your discourses as you have earned a good fame.”
Vyas ji expressed, “Well! You have come here to listen to me. Please let me know in what respect you want my discourses, so that I may satisfy and please you.”
Har ji Vyas accommodated Shri Mehraj in his own garden near him. Thereafter, Vyas ji started the chapter of Shrimad Bhagwat, a sacred scripture of Hindus, in his discourses.
Har ji Vyas continued his discourses in respect of Shrimad Bhagwat for a month. They both enjoyed. One day Vyas ji disclosed the contents of Shrimad Bhagwat regarding ‘Abode of Shri Narayan’ – the Lord of the Destructible worlds and told about the whereabouts of the same to Shri Mehraj.
He spoke, “There exists a splendid temple made of diamond which is very extensive, and having its area of eighty four lakh jojan (jojan is a measurement equivalent to sixteen square miles).”
Shri Mehraj enquired, “To whom this Abode belongs?” Vyas ji with his heart filled with pride replied to Shri Mehraj ji: -
“The sacred scriptures vouch that the splendid temple made of the diamond is the eternal Abode of Akshhar (the Indestructible).” Then Shri Mehraj very politely bowed to Shri Vyas ji and requested, “Only you are competent to disclose the mystery; please tell me, where it exists.
“If it swings any where in the upper or the lower planes in the Universe or beyond the periphery of the Universe, kindly give me full description to let me understand about its eternal existence.
“Any place or thing consisting of the five elements (water, solid earth, fire, gas –air and space- sky) and the nature which has its origin, all are subject to the destruction; then I want to know where the Eternal Abode of Akshhar is?
“Please do not hide any thing, open the secrecy of the mystery. I very humbly request you, kindly tell me.”
Then Vyas replied, “Aadi Narayan – Maha Vishnu has His Abode here in Kshhirsagar. The scriptures reveal this fact.”
Then Shri Mehraj spoke, “The Abode of Aadi Narayan and Kshhirsagar are destructible in the Mahapralay (the greatest annihilation) as the whole Universe including Kshhirsagar has tendency to destroy with the three logos created in it.”
Shri Mehraj continued, “I again request you, please do not let it be a mystery: no body except you, the learned person would preach me to understand well.”
Vyas ji became excited and uttered, “What have you to say to me, I know the details contained in the scriptures and nothing else. I have no reply to say any thing.”
He continued, “Our prudent Masters who posed to be adepts have given understanding to this extent only; hence I am unable to speak further to satisfy the Divine Soul like You, who possess the Divine Wisdom.”
Then Kanh ji asked Shri Mehraj, “Please inquire something about the ‘Super Indestructible – the Lord Supreme; we should see what does he speak in respect of Aksharaateet?”
Shri Mehraj experienced the zealous command; hence He asked Kanh ji to keep quite. He said, “He does not know fully about the Destructible Universe, hence why should I ask him any thing more than beyond the Destructible?”
Shri Mehraj added, “Vyas ji got tired with the knowledge he learnt about the ‘Destructible’. He has no knowledge of Akshhar (the Indestructible God), then what can he say about the Lord Supreme who’s Super Eternal Abode exists beyond the Indestructible Eternal Abode.”
Vyas ji listened to Shri Mehraj and learnt that Shri Mehraj would open his eyes and remove the darkness of ignorance from his mind.
Then Shri Mehraj spoke, “Vyas ji! Listen to me. I came to you to hear your discourses.”
“Some days ago, while you were lying on the death-bed, you had uttered that you hailed here on the earth from the next world, hence not interested in the charity-rituals.
“And you continued saying that your version has never been opposed by any body –that you have your own egotism. For imparting a lesson to subside your egotism, I managed to send Kanh ji Bhai, the enlightened Soul to you.
“The Supreme Lord (Haq) has been graceful to send me to contact you and you have been kept alive. Whenever the Supreme Lord has HIS Graceful watch on any person, his heart is filled with the Light of the Divine Wisdom, and his mentality interested in illusive world is changed.”
Vyas told Shri Mehraj, “What did I speak does not serve any purpose, as I did not speak intentionally.       O Lord of the Devotees! I intended to contact the Preceptor who could show me the right path in order to suppress my pride.
“In a fruit bearing tree of a wild fig, a good number of fruits are grown and each of the fruits has numerous tiny fly-moths inside it; but the inhabitants of one fruit have no concern or any sort of know about the inhabitants of the other fruits of the same tree.
“Similar to above instance, I am just like a tiny fly-moth of one fig-like fruit. I have no knowledge of any other fruits. I am proud to have convinced every learned person to one’s satisfaction. No body has defeated me with his capacity of being a highly learned person.
“Today I surrendered all my weapons of pride before Your Majesty. I have no doubts; definitely, the Supreme Lord has been Graceful to direct you to teach me.
“I humbly request you to kindly show me the right path. I do not know any thing about the Super Eternal Abode of the Super Indestructible – Lord Supreme. Kindly teach me.”
Shri Mehraj ji enlightened the Soul of Har ji Vyas to the extremity of his origin and kept him in His Company for a short time. Thereafter, Shri Mehraj arrived at Jamnagar (Navtanpuri) from Junagarh having departed from Vyas ji.
Qutub Khan, the Governor of Ahmedabad, once again, had invaded upon Jamnagar in Vikram Samvat 1719 (December 1662 A D) and Shri Mehraj felt in His heart the pains of the troubles given by the army  to Sundersath at Jamnagar.
The Divine Soul of Shri Mehraj experienced the mental agony, which was being experienced by His associates due to militant’s terror of Qutub Khan’s army, at Jamnagar. Hence He came to Bihari ji and talked about the incident with him.
In Vikram Samvat 1720 (1663 A D), again Shri Mehraj joined the Government services as Diwan of Jamsatta, the ruler of Jamnagar. In order to give relief to Sundersath (the associates), He took the whole responsibility over His head. (It was Qutub Khan’s second invasion on Jamnagar; the first invasion was made in Vikram Samvat 1714 (1657 A D).
In order to have a treaty with Qutub- the Governor of Gujarat, He along with the Ruler of Jamnagar and the Chief Minister went to Ahmedabad; but due to certain reasons, He quitted the services and proceeded further to enlighten the other Divine Souls, because He gave up all worldly affairs of illusive ‘Maya’.
Shri Mehraj then arrived at Deep (Due Port, which was under the governance of Portugal, the foreign agency) from Ahmedabad. The Lord Supreme showed Him the drama of the dreamy world to His entire satisfaction and hereafter pulled near Him under HIS Grace.
Swami Laldas ji says, “O my dearest associates! I have narrated the events, which took place in the illusive world in the relation with the desires of the Divine Souls: hereafter in next chapter what happened in future would be highlighted.”

CHAPTER 19 – TEEN SHRISTI.

As the Vedas have described about the three types of the creatures, the similar description is found in Quran, the Islamic Holy Book, too. The holy books composed by so many saints and prophets have the same secrecy, but the Divine Souls of the Lord Supreme are fully acquainted with these three types of the creatures (the human beings).
The Hindus scriptures name these three types as (i) Jeevashristies, who belong to Baikunth i.e. in the dream of Maha Vishnu, hence these have no eternal Abode, but are subject to destruction in the Great Annihilation (Mahapralay) when the dream of Akshhar would be over; (ii) Ishwarshristies, who hailed from the Eternal Abode of Akshhar – the Indestructible and (iii) Brahmashristies, the Divine Souls of the Super Eternal Abode of the Lord Supreme (who appeared in this dreamy world not by Soul but by consciousness only and entered in the physiques of the Jeevashristies of the dreamy world). In the Islamic Books the names are described as ‘Aam’, ‘Khaas’, & ‘Khaas-ul-khaas’.
Those who have been enlightened by Shri Devchandra ji and Shri Mehraj Thakur are called the ‘Sundersath’ and they all are the Divine Souls – Brahmashristies. Earlier to their appearance (by consciousness) in this dreamy world, Mohammed Paigambar (Rasool – the Divine Messenger of the Almighty) had brought in advance the sacred message of the Lord Supreme to convey the same to these Divine Souls - but contained in Quran as secret-indications, which could not be comprehended by the common people of the world. But as per prophecy in Quran, Shri Devchandra ji, the incarnation of the Rooh-Allah (Better Half of the Almighty), revealed the mysteries of the secrets to the Divine Souls only (for whom the message was contained in Quran in advance). Thereafter the key of this mystery is handed over by Him to Shri Mehraj Thakur, the ‘Advent of Imam Menhdi’ as per Quran prophecy.
Shri Mehraj Thakur appeared in this world as ‘Vijayabhinandan’ who made all the secrets clear as He possessed the original consciousness of Paramdham (He was not involved in the illusive world). As per prediction of the scriptures of the Hindus, He aimed to re-establish the Religion of the Mankind- free from all superficial customs and apprehension as well as superstitions, in order to redress the differences of various faiths and show the right path of unity i.e. the universal fraternity for the eternal welfare of the mankind as well as for establishing eternal peace in the world.
In Holy Scriptures like Ved, Puran, Quran etc., the period regarding the ‘Advent of a Grand Personality’ duly charged by the Grace of the Supreme Lord has been predicted, which happened to become true  approaching the end of Kaliyug; and the ‘Advent of Vijayabhinandan Nishkalank Buddha’ in the person of Shri Mehraj Thakur took place.
The Supreme Lord (Haq) sent Shri Mehraj Thakur with His enlightened Wisdom having charged Him by HIS Grace, in the dreamy world for the sake of the Divine Souls, who too appeared by their consciousness simultaneously.
Mohammed Paigambar described in Quran in a mysterious way about the appearance of the Divine Souls as human beings in order to see the drama of the illusive world, as the drama has been created for them only, so that they could recognize their Lord in the guise of Shri Prannath ji (Shri Mehraj Thakur).
Mohammed Sahib had appeared in the world, created by the Lord Supreme, out of HIS splendour; and Mohammed created the universe out of His splendour. Shri Mehraj (Shri Prannath ji) in compliance of the Divine Order of the Lord had appeared as ‘Imam Menhdi’ & He had been empowered to make the worldly creatures, whom He would like, to be blessed by awarding them salvation to reach the Eternal Abode.
Shri Prannath ji established the Religion of Mankind with His Divine Wisdom with clear explanation in respect of ‘Oneness of the Lord’ as quoted in many ways in various Holy Scriptures of various faiths; and He defined the secrets of the seven symptoms of Qayamat as cited in the mysterious ways in Quran.
According to Quran, in the Tenth Century of Islamic Era, the Better half of the Lord Supreme appeared as Shri Devchandra ji and He opened the door of Paramdham – the Super Eternal Abode. The Divine Wisdom would spread in the world amongst the Divine Souls upto the end of the ‘Twelfth Century of Islamic Era’.
There is a specific mention in Quran in respect of the assemblage of the Divine Souls, who shall be prepared to sacrifice themselves in order to promote the faith according to which, the Super Eternal Place, where the Divine Souls play ‘Love’, would be made known to all the folks of the mankind; and thereafter the Super Eternal Abode (Paramdham) shall become comprehended well to all in the dreamy world too.
As per Quran, the Farishte, who descended from the Eternal Abode of the Indestructible God and are called the Ishwarshristies in the Hindus’ scriptures, have to go back, after the drama of the illusive dream is over, to the place of their origin i.e. Akshhardham; but the Jeevashristies, known as Aam khalak in Quran, would be blessed by Shri Prannath ji to find the eternal place of the salvation in eight kinds of Heavens, which has been established in the hearts of the Indestructible God, as Shri Prannath ji charged by the Grace of Lord has a capacity to rule both  the ‘Destructible and the Indestructible’.
The Divine Souls exist in Paramdham (with their ‘Real & Super Souls and physiques as sitting in Mool Milava); but descended by their consciousness in the dreamy world to watch the drama and experience the misery of illusion. They have not left the Super Eternal Abode. Shri Prannath ji revealed the Divine Wisdom and the mysteries of Quran too, with the revelation of the appropriate time of Qayamat. The real meaning of Qayamat is to get enlightened (after fulfilling the desires of experiencing all sorts of sorrows including forgetfulness while living in the world) and then to feel the conscious presence in Paramdham (which happened when the Divine Souls adhered to the preaching of their Souls’ Lord – Mahamati Shri Prannath ji.
The Lord Supreme appeared in the guise of Shri Prannath ji at the appropriate time as prophesied in the holy books: the Divine Souls got asleep at ‘Mool-Milava’ –Paramdham, when a short period of one-fourth of a day remained there as balance of the day. At the very same moment, Shri Prannath ji awakened the Divine Souls. The Lord Supreme knows this all and none others.
Swami Laldas ji says, “The three categories of the human beings have been described in details to all of you. The drama of the dream world, what the Divine Souls have seen in their state of being asleep, is being described hereafter.

CHAPTER 20 – KAB LON KANSA KUTEGA.

Swami Shri Laldas ji describes in this chapter about the events which took place and due to which Shri Mehraj Thakur had fought with the devils of Kaliyug as well as the people of the troublesome nature. Where did the same happen is described hereunder.
The Minister of the Ruler of Jamnagar kept Shri Mehraj Thakur in confinement for one year. During that period He experienced the mental agony because of the confinement. The Minister released Him and His brother honorably. Thereafter, the Lord Supreme bestowed on Him the power to adorn the Divine Souls with pleasure of getting awakened.
Shri Mehraj Thakur arrived at Due Port from Ahmedabad (Gujarat) and stayed with Jay Ram Bhai, the associate whom Shri Devchandra ji preached. He welcomed Shri Mehraj ji very warmly and expressed his heartiest gratitude very happily.
Jay Ram Bhai inquired of Shri Mehraj about His welfare, “Where from have you come here and for which purpose? Please tell me.”
Shri Mehraj replied to him, “I have come here to please you in accordance with the Divine Order of the Lord Supreme, who sent me to meet you.
“The Lord ordered me to trace out the Divine Souls and tell them the effects of Maya’s illusions as well as the path of Righteousness to remember the Lord and the Super Eternal Abode from where the Divine Souls hailed on this earth but forgot the same”.
Shri Mehraj Thakur had a talk with Jay Ram Bhai in details right from the time of Shri Devchandra ji and the associates whom Sadguru preached and enquired, “You spent a long life here at Due.
“You were preached by Shri Devchandra ji along with your other associates, but since then what did you do and how many more associates did you preach and enlightened? Did you have the remembrance of the Lord as preached to you by Sadguru?
“I opine you should have not done so. You met the Lord Supreme who preached you in the guise of Sadguru Shri Devchandra ji; but still you neglected your soul’s choice and got involved again in the dreamy illusions. Why did you not feel ashamed?”
“You have not penned even a letter since you left Jamnagar, nor expressed any sort of relations. Although, you know, that Shri Devchandra ji left the world for Paramdham; yet even then you never visited Jamnagar to pay homage.
“Shri Bihari ji, son of Shri Devchandra ji succeeded his father and occupied ‘His Chair (Chakla), you should have attended to him, whom you did not do. It is very surprising to find you so much involved in Maya, although once got enlightened.
“You have forgotten that you would have to go to the Super Eternal Abode – Paramdham. You misunderstood the world, as if you would remain here in Maya forever.
“Remember your presence in front of the Lord Supreme in “Mool-Milava” – Paramdham, which you should have not forgotten. You met Shri Devchandra ji, the Lord of our Souls and also associated with other Divine Souls – Brahmashristies; and you listened to the preaching of Shri Devchandra ji, since you being one of the Divine Souls and all of you accompanied Sadguru ji.
“It appears that you did not pay much heed when you attended the association nor did you remember where your Soul’s Lord is. Why did you forget that you have appeared in the dream world by your consciousness only to experience the sorrows and false attachment of ‘Maya’?”
Shri Mehraj again scolded Jairam Bhai and made him follow the ‘Real Speech’ for getting awakened.
Shri Mehraj also spoke, “How long would you keep yourself busy in the world and go on hammering the bronze on the anvil? You should know that the ‘Day of Justice – Qayamat’ is due when your Soul must get awakened, but you have forgotten it; how long would you be busy here?
“The Great annihilation would happen to perish the destructible Universe consisting of fourteen worlds but you do not feel ashamed although you hailed here from Paramdham where the Brahmashristies – the Divine Souls inhabit eternally.
“You lived here in the dream world since a long: How much more would you remain alive? You should now remember Paramdham, your eternal ‘Home’ from where you have hailed here.
“This illusive world showed numerous temptations, but no body got fully satisfied to have fulfilled the one’s everlasting lustrous desires. Would you remain here forever and would you give up the joy of Paramdham, where you play ‘Love’ with the Lord?
“The creatures created out of the dream would experience the illusive feelings and the taste of their different physical limbs & organs as the world is created for that purpose for them, but you being a Divine Soul must consider –what do you mean?
“There must be a difference between the behaviour of a common mankind of the Jeevashristies – the dreamy creatures and that of your majesty, being a Divine Soul. A Divine Soul like you must be prepared to sacrifice everything –even the self life, when there occurs any event concerning with the Lord of Paramdham and Nijanand Sampradaay.
“But it is found that you do not smell even the fragrance of the Lord’s remembrance, nor you meditate to reach nearer your Lord. You do not endeavour to have any association with the disciples of the Sadguru, nor did you attempt to get awakened by the Divine Wisdom preached to you.”
Jai Ram Bhai could not bear any more what Shri Mehraj spoke to him by pointing out his faults. He wept. He begged pardon and asked latter to scold him more and more.
He resented, “I have been very badly involved in the dream world and definitely I have forgotten Paramdham – the Super Eternal Abode of the Divine Souls, because unknowingly I preferred Maya to it.
“I could not think of any relation with Paramdham, nor had I any vision in my inner Soul otherwise I would not have committed such blunder, in case I would have had any smell of the fragrance of the Divine Wisdom in my soul.
“Now our Lord has become Graceful and HE sent Your Excellency to awaken me. HE gazed at me while I was being drifted by the current of the illusions of Maya.”
Shri Mehraj continued disseminating His preaching to all those who attended the association. All the members of the family of Jay Ram Bhai prostrated to Shri Mehraj and He blessed all of them as the Lord took their hands in HIS hand to grace them all.
Jay Ram Bhai requested Shri Mehraj very respectfully to have meal with him. He also arranged for a bath, and then seated Him to take His choicest foods.
There after they all accepted with due respects the oblation (remnant foods) of Shri Mehraj as a sacred gift to their souls as their meals. When asked to take rest after meal, Shri Mehraj refused to rest and spoke,      “I have arrived here purposefully and not to have any rest.”
He expressed, “I arrived here to awaken you so that when enlightened you may give up your leaning towards the illusive world and remember the Lord of Paramdham.”
Shri Mehraj ji started His preaching and quoted reference of Brij, especially in respect of the event when all the Gopies (who were the Divine Souls) discarded the worldly affairs the moment they had heard the flute tone played on by Shri Krishna ji just before ‘Raas’. Shri Mehraj asked Jai Ram Bhai to memorize about the steps taken by him as Gopi of Brij along with the other colleagues.
Shri Mehraj spoke, “Remember how our Lord Shri Krishna had been behaving in the intense Love with Gopies in Brij. Despite your involvement in the dream world, you had been breading up the heartiest ‘Love’ with Shri Krishna.
“Although you all the Gopies were living in Brij with all other members of the family in the same manner in which the other worldly human beings were living, yet you felt indifferent in the worldly fulfillment and always kept the memory of Shri Krishna ji in your mind and attempted to contact HIM.
“At your home, and while coming or going elsewhere, you were thinking about Shri Krishna only.
“No worldly attachment attracted you as you lived round the clock in the Love of the Lord Shri Krishna ji.
“And when you proceeded to play ‘Raas’, you treated the world as little in dimension as the footprint of a calf. You aimed to reach your Lord after giving up the worldly life and every thing.
“Since you were half awakened and little in sleep, you having left the physical bodies came in existence in a new formed body, different from that made of the five elements.
“Why did you discuss with Shri Krishna in respect of your relations and why Shri Krishna led you all to Vrindavan to play ‘Raas’?
“And why did you play there in Vrindavan along with other Gopies – the associates of Brij? Why our Lord – Shri Krishna had played ‘Love’ and embraced you all?
“You played and got entangled in the ‘Love’ with the Lord. Thereafter when Shri Krishna disappeared from Vrindavan, you had lamented because of the sorrows of the separation from the Lord.  But why?
Swami Laldas ji says, “I have narrated the events of Due (Deep Bandar) in this chapter. Still some more things are yet to be told to you, which have been described in the following chapter according as I know and recollect saying.”

                                                                                                               Prakaran 20, Chopai 919.
CHAPTER 21 – JAATI SMARAN UPBODH.

In this Chapter, Swami Laldas ji described further what happened at Deep Bandar. Shri Mehraj ji preached Jai Ram Bhai and described the details of the plays of ‘Raas’, so that he may recollect about his presence in ‘Raas’ and understand what were the relations between the participants and the Supreme Lord, while they played and their Lord disappeared (from Vrindavan, the Yogmaya Universe) leaving the Gopies lamenting.
Shri Mehraj ji further spoke, “Jai Ram Bhai! Please remember – how our Lord appeared again among ourselves and blessed us all by filling our hearts with the joy. We also met HIM and enjoyed when the Lord disclosed the mystery of HIS disappearance.
“Thereafter, we all played with HIM. Please do remember the same. I know our Lord played with you too.
“Also remember, we bathed in the Holy River Jamuna ji and thereafter for proper decoration, we all dressed well and put on ornaments etc.
“Then we sat around our Lord for whom you prepared the royal seat in order to dine there together.
“After a grand play while bathing, we took meal and during that course, recollected the mental agony, we experienced when our Lord separated since disappeared.
“Again and again, you had asked HIM, how HE managed to let us feel the agony of separation? You also remember, what the Lord replied.
“Do you recollect, we all got awakened from the dream in which we played ‘Raas’ and then felt our real presence in our Paramdham; but still some desires remained unfulfilled.
“After the sleep, the dream was over and we with our consciousness in our Super Divine Souls were present in Paramdham. The desire to play and watch further the dream drama of the world was in our heart.
“The mystery lies there that on reaching our Super Eternal Abode, no Soul could reveal the feeling of our unsatisfied desire, but the Lord Supreme knew it. How?
“In order to fulfil the unsatisfied desire of the Divine Souls (ours), our Lord has created this dreamy universe, the third time; (first time that of Brij –prior to ‘Raas’). In Brij where we attained the state of full sleep and dreamt therein, our consciousness was diverted from Paramdham: second time –that of ‘Raas’, in the Universe of Yogmaya after the ‘Major Annihilation’, the first universe of Brij perished. In the universe of Yogmaya, the Divine Souls were in drowsy state. The three logos – Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh are not real but created in the dreamland – Maya as the dramatic actors for your (Divine Souls’) sake.
“Jai Ram Bhai! Still you could not recollect your ‘Reality” although I have given you to understand your presence with the Lord in Brij and ‘Raas’, you could not get awakened to remember our Paramdham."
The whole day, Shri Mehraj preached all the attendants, who experienced the Majestic Grace of the Lord Supreme to enjoy having no other sense of self or the time elapsed.
The next day also Shri Mehraj preached the associates to fill their hearts with the graceful bliss.
Shri Mehraj arrived at Deep Bandar (Due) in Vikram Samvat 1722 (1665 A D). He stayed there for two years and remained busy to deliver discourses to all.
Every citizen of Deep Bandar participated as an associate to listen to the Divine Discourses of Shri ji.
There were different kinds of people as audiences and each one of them climbed the steps of the Soul’s achievement according to one’s capacity of the mind. Even then a good number of them accepted discipleship of Shri Mehraj ji.
It is but natural that in this illusionary world, opponents have always tried to demoralize the right persons by employing their crooked behavior (because of Kaliyug): but the right persons were sternly bound to tread the religious path.
Except those, whose souls were enlightened, the others got afraid of the consequences of the efforts of these devil opponents and they did not join the company of the awakened associates.
Shri Laldas ji now describes about those right persons who listened to Shri Mehraj’s preaching and became disciples. First Jeeva and Jay Ram Bhai became disciples. Ratan Bai, the wife of Jay Ram Bhai could know that the Lord Supreme had come to her home in the person of Shri Mehraj. She devoted her life to please Shri Mehraj by her hearty services.
Thereafter, Ganesh one of the members Jai Ram Bhai’s families also got enlightened and became disciple.
Another fellow, Ganga das did not mind the opposition preferred by others as he got very much influenced and hence he accepted the discipleship of Shri Mehraj.
Narsingh das and Guwalji defeated the force of Maya and experienced the ecstasy of Paramdham by their consciousness. They accepted the discipleship.
Garibdas, who was known previously as Bhoj Bhai, was regularly attending the discourses and he filled his heart with unique joy of Paramdham.
Also Roopde, Veerbai, Tej and another Tejbai with Gehel Bai got awakened and joined the association.
Four more gentle ladies named Champa, Suhasan, Bel Bai and Balbai also joined the association and pleased Shri Mehraj ji.
So many attendants listened to the Divine Discourses preached by Shri Mehraj and they say about fifty or sixty accepted the discipleship. They were regular.
Shri Laldas ji says, “The association was gulping: no words would suffice to describe the pleasure experienced by each member of the association.
It became the common topic among the citizens of Deep Bandar to talk about Shri Mehraj’s preaching. There were opponents but they too did not dare disclose themselves.
Shri Laldas ji described the events of Deep Bandar. He says that the Lord Supreme managed to create the situation to let the Divine Souls experience the strong blow of Maya.

CHAPTER 22 – BRAHMA MUNIYON KI RAKSHHA.

Shri Laldas ji continues the description of the events occurred during Shri Mehraj’s stay at Deev Bandar. He says that the Lord Supreme showered His grace to guard the association of Sundersath.
Those preachers who had their prestige among their disciples became opponents of Shri Mehraj ji, when their disciples also became regular attendants to listen to the discourses of Shri Mehraj. It was unavoidable.
When their previous preachers checked those, who attended Shri Mehraj’s discourses, they expressed their queries based on the preaching of Shri Mehraj. This made them perturbed as they were helpless to give reply to any of the queries (as they had limited knowledge).
The opponents pondered over the situation and conspired to lodge complaints on false allegations in order to compel Shri Mehraj to leave ‘Deev’ for the good.
Deev Bandar was governed by Portuguese as its ruler, hence these conspirators arranged to send a mischievous person to reach the ruler and make complaint against Shri Mehraj ji alleging that Shri Mehraj did not adore their deities.
One day that mischievous fellow managed to approach the ruler, but it happened that he met a Personality.
The ‘Royal Personality’ asked that fellow, “What sort of intention you have to make approach to the ruler?
That fellow told the gentleman that a new saint, who had arrived at Deev Bandar, propagated against the deities of Hindus; hence he intended to lodge complaint against that saint.
The gentleman enquired, “Did you hear Him yourself or some mischievous fellow misguided you to oppose that saint without self experience?”
That fellow very frankly disclosed that he did not listen to Shri Mehraj, but he has been misguided to lodge complaint against Shri Mehraj ji.
The gentleman mended his mind, “You are doing what you have not watched with your eyes. The rulers of the foreign origin are merciless to the Indians and they might believe in what you would say.
“Further any drastic action is liable to be taken by them unnecessarily to torture the saint.”
The understanding given by the gentleman proved to be a mind-wash to the plaintiff. He repented, but he was pleased that he did not commit any thing wrong.
The mischievous fellow was satisfied with the advice of the gentleman. He returned from the spot and turned his face, but he could not see the gentleman again who disappeared instantaneously.
On learning about the mischief conspired by the preachers, the most of the attendants left the place where Shri Mehraj was delivering His Divine Discourses because of the fear of the consequences which might have to be faced: many insincere attendants left the island to escape from the brutality of the foreign rulers in order to find security in Saurashtra situated across the gulf.
Some took shelter elsewhere in the City of Deev Bandar. The others followed them with their decision to discontinue the listening to the preaching of Shri Prannath ji (Shri Mehraj) forever.
The opponents fully involved in Maya (Kaliyug) were successful in their attempts as none except a few dared attend the association owned by Shri Mehraj.
Among the few were Jai Ram Bhai and other members of his family, who did not go away, leaving the Lotus Feet of Shri Mehraj.
The event took place as a result of Kaliyug’s forceful attack to defeat the insincere persons.
But after a couple of days, when there remained no fear of the conspirator’s mischief, the associates began to reassemble and talk about the misunderstanding they had a few days ago.
They accepted their mistake themselves and every body laughed at the other for the cowardliness exhibited by one. They together begged excuse of Shri Mehraj ji.
Then Shri Mehraj thought to leave Deev Bandar for the good on some pretext in order to contact many Divine Souls settled at the different places. That was the motto to go from one place to other.
The Lord planned accordingly. The pirates belonging to Arabia arrived at the island and kidnapped many persons including the wife of Shri Mehraj. Hence Shri Mehraj left the island to have a thorough search of His wife at different places.
Shri Mehraj travelled from Deev Bandar to Navi, Porbandar, Patan and so many places to have a search. The illusory world exhibited the influence; hence no trace could be possible anywhere.
The others whose relatives were also kidnapped were also perplexed. At so many places, those who were fully involved in Maya made some kinds of disturbances.
From Patan- Porbandar, Shri Mehraj arrived at Cutch. Here, a fellow named Thawar welcomed and co-operated. Thawar accompanied to reach Madai Port. He managed for the associates accompanying Shri Mehraj too, to stay at Madai.
Pragmal, Kunwari and others who were the residents of Madai were enlightened earlier by Shri Devchandra ji, but now they had forgotten what they listened to. They were immersed in the ocean of the illusions of Maya.
Shri Mehraj scolded them for their fault. They were asked as to why they had returned to their original state, which they had had before getting enlightened. Shri Mehraj awakened them again.
Shri Mehraj warned them to become cautious and to leave the illusionary world. They should be prepared to proceed from the world towards the Super Eternal Abode – Paramdham as the due time had come to do so. He taunted as to how long they would live in the illusions to enjoy here for nothing.
Mahamati Shri Prannath ji further explained that no body could ever own to possess what did one earn in the dreamy world. So this illusionary world should not be relied upon. Nothing but the treasure of sorrows would be available in Maya.
Shri Mehraj continued, “You all are well learned fellows and are also aware of your being belonging to Paramdham. It is shameful to love the illusionary world and forget the ‘Reality’ (our real Abode).
“You should not do so, that you are becoming oblivious and do not remember the ‘Real Abode’, nor do you remember the joy of Paramdham: instead, you have got involved otherwise.
“What ‘Sadguru Dhani Shri Devchandra ji’ (in whose heart, the Lord Supreme had HIS Abode and was speaking through Him to the Divine Souls) spoke to us in respect of ‘Our Home’ – Paramdham’? You should think about your present position in the dream-world and think over for which purpose you descended on the earth – the dream-world.”
Shri Mehraj stayed at Madai for a single day. He awakened all those who had forgotten the preaching of Shri Devchandra ji. From there (Madai) He arrived at Kapai (a nearby village)
His elder brother Harbansh Thakur was residing there with his family. Shri Mehraj stayed there with him, having heartily soul-relation with His brother.
Shri Mehraj found that all of them were interested in the worldly affairs. Hence He pointed out their faults. Harbansh Thakur regretted for his misunderstanding and got enlightened by the discourses delivered by Shri Mehraj ji to all of them.
Shri Mehraj directed them to go to Jamnagar and pay visit to Bihari ji. He spoke, “You have forgotten your Sadguru, which you should have not done.”
From Kapai, Shri Mehraj reached Bhoj Nagar, the capital of Cutch and stayed with Vrindavan (son of Swami Haridas). Vrindavan was delighted to welcome Shri Mehraj ji.
He respected Shri Mehraj very well and served dinner to please Him. He also held talks on various issues and enquired of any particular service to please Him.
Shri Mehraj narrated the past events in details. He also called upon the other associates to point out their forgetfulness. Vrindavan got awakened and enjoyed the company.
Shri Mehraj continued His Divine Discourses to attract the associates to adhere to Him and get enlightened.
The attendants also liked what Shri Mehraj spoke to them. Since Shri Mehraj intended to clear the doubts of the audiences, he tried His best to satisfy all.
The associates were obliged to Him to have all their doubts subsided. They remembered ‘Paramdham’ and their original relations.
After staying there for two days, Shri Mehraj proceeded to reach Thattanagar via Naliya. He was to meet Natha Joshi at Thattanagar.
Shri Mehraj had a search of Natha Joshi’s house. Natha Joshi met Shri Mehraj: he was surprisingly pleased.
Natha Joshi expressed his pleasure and spoke, “I am graced by you that you have arrived and made my house like Paramdham by your gracious stay.
Swami Laldas ji narrated the events related with the journeys of Shri Mehraj from Deev Bandar to Thattanagar. In the next chapter, the events of Thattanagar would be narrated.

CHAPTER – 23 THATTHANAGAR VRITANT.

Swami Shri Laldas ji says, “O! The Divine Souls! Now let me describe the events what happened at Thattanagar in connection with the dream drama, which has been shown to you all by the Lord Supreme on your appearance (by consciousness only) in this transient dreamland, created for this purpose only).
Shri Mehraj stayed at Thattanagar for ten or twelve days at Natha Joshi’s house: thence He arrived at Lathi Bandar, now known as Karachi (Pakistan).
At Lathi Bandar Shri Mehraj was sitting for a short while at the Deve Bhai’s shop, where Vishwanath Bhatt visited Him. Vishwanath Bhatt paid due respects, as he knew Shri Mehraj being respected by all. (He did not get enlightened, hence could not admit to recognize Shri Mehraj as Sadguru.)
At Lathi Bandar, Shri Mehraj picked up a ship to travel by sea in search of the kidnapped associates including His wife. He suffered in the sea because of storm in the ocean for seventeen days. The ship sailed back to port (as it was according to the Almighty’s Divine Order).
Shri Mehraj had to come back for enlightening the Divine Souls, who did not meet Him so far during His last stay at Thattanagar. And Shri Mehraj knew as to why the ship could not move in the ocean to reach the destination and due to which He had to come back.
On His arrival at Thattanagar from Lathi Bandar, again Natha Joshi rushed to welcome Him and he managed for Shri Mehraj’s halt at his own residence.
Shri Mehraj again continued delivering discourses at Thattanagar. One Shri Jindadas happened to meet Shri Mehraj. Then Thakuri Bai paid a visit. Supreme Lord graced her, so she accepted discipleship.
Shri Mehraj had described the details of Paramdham in order to enlighten the Divine Souls. All those who attended the discourses got their hearts filled in with joy. It was the grace of the Lord Supreme who attracted many Divine Souls and they paid due heeds to listen to Shri Mehraj’s preaching, which He disseminated with His full awareness.
A good number of people crowded to attend the association to listen to Shri Mehraj’s discourses. A Grand Personality in the guise of a saint arrived at Thattanagar became the rumour those days in the city in respect of Shri Mehraj.
Among the attendants, many saints of the various folks also listened to Shri Mehraj’s preaching and they were fully satisfied to comprehend the Divine Message. They thanked God for HIS Grace to manage their meet with such a Grand Sadguru – Shri Mehraj Thakur.
Chintamani, the monk of Kabeer Panth was famous for his being erudite in so far as the religion of Kabeer Panth was concerned. At Thattanagar every body praised him. As such Shri Mehraj expressed His desire to contact him by reaching his camp personally.
Shri Mehraj reached his house. Chintamani was very happy to meet Shri Mehraj and he spoke:
“Where from have you come, O Holy Man! If you are more learned than I am, please give me some thing you possess.
“If you intend to give, please impart the essence of your learning to me accordingly or if you have intention to learn from me, I shall teach you: Come along and talk, so that each of us might recognize each other.
“If you are interested I may show you the ‘Four-armed Lord Vishnu’ in person or ‘the Lord who lights around HIM’ or ‘the thousand-headed serpent on whose coil-body Maha Vishnu rests;
“Or let me show you the original source of sound, full of self illumination and miracles I can do, otherwise show me what you attained so far.”
Shri Mehraj expressed, “I am not interested in miracles but speak to me some invaluable sacred words. I have come to listen to you.
“I shall treasure what sacred words you will speak to me. I shall be obliged if you define perfectly about the Lord Supreme and the illusive Maya.”
Chintamani recited a verse of Kamaal, the son of Kabeer. Shri Mehraj having listened to the contents of Kamaal’s verse explained the secrets. Chintamani got cautious to learn the secrecy from Shri Mehraj.
Chintamani recited the verse, which meant that Kamaal rose from a lower standard to the highest stage, hence Kamaal is treated as a complete devotee in comparison to Kabeer, who achieved the half (lesser than what Kamaal did).
‘Kaundi se Hira bhayo, Hira se bhayo Lal; Adha Bhakt Kabeer hai, poora Bhakt Kamaal’
Then Shri Mehraj spoke, “What do you know about Kabeer, whom you called an imperfect –half devotee. Definitely you have achieved nothing; hence you have valued Kabeer in that way.
“Do you know what achievements were reached by Kabeer and what was learnt by Kamaal? Compare these two personalities.
“You knew little about Kabeer; hence you praised Kamaal. You lack sense of realising the standard of knowledge gained by Kabeer or Kamaal. Think properly and decide about each of them.”
Shri Mehraj then recited some verses of Kabeer, listening to that Chintamani spoke, “Here you are; you revealed the mystery.” The verses of Kabeer read as follow: -
“The potency of Gravity got generated as per the Divine Order of the Godhead and it pervaded the space. The ‘Truth’ and the illusion both were created in the submergence state in that space; hence it has been illusively taken for granted that the Supreme Lord, Himself, has been pervading in the particles of the Universes, but this is an all illusion. In the ocean of the illusion, as per the Divine Order of the Supreme Lord, the Indestructible Lord – Akshhar dreamt and recognized Himself as Aadi Narayan. The illusion named ‘Maya’ is compared with a pregnant lady without having touched/ contacted any male. The Lord Supreme is separate from ‘Maya’: still she got pregnant and she gave birth to three logos – Brahma, Vishnu & Mahesh, whom the Universe treats as Lords, whereas the Supreme Lord is out of the dimensions of ‘Maya’. Kabeer expressed that the Personality who would give the true meaning of this mysterious narration contained in the verses, would be his Sadguru – Preceptor, whom he would adore and accept to be His disciple.”
Chintamani spoke to his followers, “Long ago, my religious teacher prophesied that some time in my life, I shall be graced by a Personality who shall give me the ‘learning’ to understand the mystery of the above narrated verses of Kabeer. The time has come and now I shall be led to reach the goal.”
Shri Mehraj than left the place of Chintamani’s residence and arrived at His place to have a talk with His associate Sundersath
When Chintamani did not find Shri Mehraj’s company again, he had a search. One day he reached the home location of Kalloo Mishra where he found that no body took interest to listen to his discourses, but he learnt where he would find the whereabouts of Shri Mehraj and His associates. Swami Laldas ji while closing the chapter of the events of Thattanagar says about the Calendar that Shri Mehraj stayed there in Vikram Samvat 1724 (1667 A D). In the following chapter, he described about the events, which took place at Thattanagar later on.

CHAPTER – 24 CHINTAMANI BODH

Chintamani had a thorough search to find out the place where Shri Mehraj halted. He reached the house of Kalloo Mishra to participate there in a meet of the attendants who gathered there to listen to his own discourses. He told that throughout the night he had a search but could not succeed to find the address of Shri Mehraj till the next day morning.
Kalloo Mishra told him about the home of Natha Joshi, where he met Shri Mehraj, who stayed at the first floor of Natha Joshi’s house.
There, Chintamani saw Shri Mehraj busy in the Divine Job of disseminating His preaching to the attendants. He prostrated before Shri Mehraj.
The followers of Chintamani also accompanied him. They all together participated along with Chintamani and each one got involved in obtaining the benefit to soothe one’s soul on listening to the preaching of Shri Mehraj ji, according as one had relation by one’s soul with the nearness of the Lord Supreme and the Super Eternal Abode.
Since Chintamani was having the impression of consciousness of Paramdham, he was delighted in his heart to have learnt what he listened to while Shri Mehraj described about Paramdham. He came to the conclusion that whatsoever he had known and of which he had a pride, was meaningless; hence he forgot what was achieved by him.
The followers and the disciples of Chintamani were then perplexed when they found that their Master   changed his behaviour; but when they too attended the discourses delivered by Shri Mehraj, they were also attracted to understand the Divine Message according to their own level of the understanding.
Along with Chintamani, his followers (disciples) continued to attend the discourses of Shri Mehraj. After two-three days, most of them realised the ‘Truth’. As such, many disciples also prostrated at Lotus Feet of Shri Mehraj ji.
Shri Mehraj pointed out the faults of Chintamani and advised him to submit his pride. All his disciples and followers were present at that time; hence Chintamani prayed Shri Mehraj to spare him to get ashamed amongst his followers.
He continued, “Do scold to me when I am alone, but not before my followers, otherwise I shall feel ashamed. Kindly grant me your mercy treating me yours.”
Shri Mehraj spoke to him, “Why should not I save you from being ashamed. Of course, now I shall tell about your faults indirectly.”
In the night, after the associates left the place for their homes, Shri Mehraj composed a verse (compiled as a chapter in ‘Keerantan’ (Keertan) – a part of Tartamsagar). In the verse, Shri Mehraj addressed the Divine Souls calling them as the ‘Traders of the ‘Truth’ (Suno re Satt ke Banjare).
In the verse it was added that the ‘Traders of the ‘Truth’ must not incline to the falsehood and baseless pride. Next day morning, Chintamani, when he heard the verse, surrendered to Shri Mehraj, as he was awakened and got enlightened.
He, having awakened, controlled over his vanity due to which he was having pride; but thereafter he uttered, “The sense of pride feeling is just like a black-coloured dog that I should hurt by a stick.” He also disclosed to his disciples that till now, he had no wisdom but the false egotism only.
Shri Mehraj observed that Chintamani got awareness of his having hailed from Paramdham; hence He praised and thanked Chintamani.
Shri Mehraj indoctrinated Chintamani with Divine Wisdom (Tartam) and all his followers. They had been advised to refrain from four kinds of sinful deeds.
Shri Mehraj told them to give up first the non-vegetarian meal; secondly to give up drinking liquor; thirdly to stop polygamy as well as coition relation with other fellow’s wife – thus to become pious.
He also added to give up the vice of stealing and adopting or favouring dishonesty, fourthly. Because the Lord Supreme graced Chintamani & his followers and because their hearts were filled up with the heavenly bliss, they all took oath to give up all sorts of vices related to the dreamy world –full of sorrows.
Shri Mehraj had continued delivering the discourses to a good number of attendants and many of the attendants accepted the discipleship of Shri Mehraj.
Among the attendants, one fellow named Chatura, who was Pushkaran Brahmin, was regular to listen to the discourses as he had been supplying milk to Shri Mehraj every day.
While disseminating preaching Shri Mehraj described the realistic details of the ‘Love-plays’ of Gopies (the Divine Souls) with Shri Krishna ji in Brij as well as in Raas, Chatura never heard such details earlier; hence he listened to most attentively what Shri Mehraj had described. Chatura was astonished to hear that, as no body could speak of such things earlier.
Also Chatura was attending the discourses what Laxmandas had been delivering regularly. Chatura described the details of Brij and Raas.
He asked Laxmandas, “How do you describe that Brij and Raas are related with the Eternal Abode. If so where those places are where Brij & Raas Leela occurs eternally, since all the fourteen planes are subject to peril in Mahapralay - the Immense Ultimate Annihilation?
Chatura added, “Why and how would you be able to watch the same, unless you are graced to possess the divine power to see beyond the limits of the illusive world and simultaneously you get enlightened?”
Chatura continued, “All the five elements and three virtues (possessed by the three Logos – Brahma, Vishnu & Mahesh) do not exist when the Immense Annihilation happens: Do you know as to where Brij & Raas continue and which that plane is?”
Laldas ji (Laxmandas was known later on) got astonished to listen to what Chatura spoke. He enquired, “Where did you go to learn all this? Please tell me so that I may also reach there and get satisfied.”
Chatura then told him, “A Grand Personality in the guise of a saint has arrived at Thattanagar. He describes the details and mysteries of Brij and Raas.”
Swami Laldas ji concluded the chapter saying that the events related to Shri Mehraj’s halt at Thattanagar, which concerned with the Grace of the Lord to enlighten the Divine Souls there, would be detailed later on in the ensuing chapter.

CHAPTER 25 – LALDAS MILAAP

Shri Laldas ji describes that he met Shri Mehraj at Thattanagar; how it could be possible is detailed now.
Then Laldas asked Chatura, “Please lead me to meet that Grand Personality. I am anxious to get satisfied with His blessings.
Chatura spoke, “I shall ask Him and beg His permission to lead you to His Lotus Feet, as without His order, I can not allow you to accompany me.”
Next day Chatura met Shri Mehraj and requested, “Laldas ji, whose real name is Laxmandas, has shown his eagerness to have a ‘Darshan’ (to pay a holy visit) for your blessings, as he is a religious fellow and anxious to know about the Lord Supreme.
Shri Mehraj ordered Chatura to bring Laldas ji at the earliest. Some of the associates disclosed their opinion not to allow Laldas to meet, but Shri Mehraj still called him.
Chatura came back to inform Laldas ji. He along with Laldas ji reached again and prostrated at the Lotus Feet of Shri Mehraj ji.
Laldas ji having a look at Shri Mehraj ji got happy. He experienced that all his doubts would be dissolved.
Shri Mehraj described about Lord Krishna’s Love-plays with the Divine Souls who were the Gopies in Brij. On listening to the preaching of Shri Mehraj, Laldas ji recognized that Shri Mehraj was the Lord Supreme Himself; hence he became his devotee. He found that what Chatura told him was true.
Laldas ji attended there to listen to the preaching for more than three ghati i.e. one and a half-hour (24 minutes equal to one ghati). Thereafter he came back to his home, but he did not forget the moments he spent with other associates in listening to the preaching of Shri Mehraj.
Laldas ji attempted to attend the association again and again for two or four times. While walking in the garden he met Zindadas, who told him that he did not ponder over seriously and got associated with other disciples of Shri Mehraj who had concerned with Paramdham.
During the course of His discourses, Shri Mehraj told about Markandey (a holy and reputed Rishi) who had experienced the joy and torture while bathing and having a dip in the river, fully engulfed in the illusion of Maya, though he had been a seer and a staunch devotee of God and enjoying HIS Grace. Listened to about Markandey, Laldas ji recovered from the dreamy world’s sorrows and felt a great deal of gratification. He became a devotee of Shri Mehraj.
Shri Mehraj also explained the intricacy of the mysteries of Geeta and Shrimad Bhagwat as most of the secrets related with Paramdham were contained in His discourses. Laldas ji was fully convinced and he enjoyed the Grace of Shri Mehraj as if the Supreme Lord appeared there.
Suddenly Laldas ji experienced his conscious presence in Paramdham, and he forgot his relations with the worldly affairs. He got enlightened.
He became aware of his Super Divine Soul’s presence in Mool-Milava, where all other Divine Souls including himself were sitting together and were enchanted by the Lord to partake in the Dream of Akshhar to see the drama of Maya.
But others were jealous because they were not concerned with the Paramdham; hence they were influenced by the devil of Kaliyug. Most of them proved to be barriers to prevent those, who took interest in the discourses of Shri Mehraj.
They could not succeed as the Divine Souls had concern with the Lord and for that sake they attended the discourses, despite the displeasure of the devil-minded people.
Also Mohandas Dalal and Ramdas Vaishya participated and got their hearts filled with gracious gladness having learnt what Shri Mehraj had been delivering in His discourses.
Shri Laldas ji mentioned the names of so many new entrants who associated the association of the disciples (Sundersath) of Shri Mehraj: Their names are Khatoo, Matoo (both belonging to Kshatriya family), Chetu and Mangal.
And others named Shamal Bhagat, Kunwar ji, Gobardhan, Sukhdeo, Jetha, Dwarka –
Ram Chandra, Bulabhai, Dheerabhai, Thirdas and others too attended the associates’ meeting. Most of them became disciple.
Others were Kishanbai, Basaibai, Sahajbai, Rambai, Vallabhi, & Chatura who also enjoyed the discourses.
Along with Chintamani, the monk of Kabeer Panth, a good number of his disciples also became the disciples since they were graced by the ‘Mercy of Lord’.
Everywhere in the City of Thattanagar, people were talking about Shri Mehraj’s special preaching. Those who were followers of Vallabhi-Sampradaay got jealous and showed their intention to fight.
But so far no body could face the ‘Truth’. The devil-minded people were perplexed for having a fear of their being corrupt. They kept mum.
A folk of the followers of Goswami Balak was busy in finding fault in the discourses of Shri Mehraj, as they could not understand the Divine Message of Shri Mehraj.
Shri Mehraj spent ten months at Thattanagar. He intended to go to Masqat as the weather became favourable to resume voyage. He along with others had waited for the favourable weather to leave for Masqat. Shri Mehraj bade good-bye to all associates.
The associates at Thattanagar requested together to stay there for their sake. They said that they would carry out the search on His behalf in respect of the abducted persons (including Tej Kunwar).
But Shri Mehraj replied, “I have some special concern to go to Masqat as the Lord has managed to send me there for a certain work.”
The disciples again requested repeatedly, but Shri Mehraj did not agree; instead the importance of the work to be carried out at Masqat was emphasized.
Shri Mehraj left Thattanagar for Lathi Bandar (port) and sailed from there to reach Masqat. He arrived there before the promised date to pay the ransom to the agents of pirates in order to get abducted wife released there from the slavery of the pirates.
Shri Laldas ji concluded the chapter saying that the events, related with Thattanagar, were described here. Now he would continue the further description of the happenings related to Masqat.

  CHAPTER 26 – MASKAT BANDAR.

Shri Mehraj landed from the ship at Masqat and reached the shop of Mahavji ji, which was situated in the market, location of which was near the seashore.
Mahavji ji welcomed Shri Mehraj warmly and asked about His welfare. He spoke, “I am happy that you have come here.”
Mahavji ji was one of the relatives of Shri Mehraj; hence he was obliged to welcome Him. Shri Mehraj enquired about those persons who were kidnapped by the pirates.
A fellow, Vishwanath who was recently released from the slavery of the pirates, spoke about the welfare of Shri Mehraj’s wife. Roopa Bai and Radha Bai were also kidnapped and were recently released. They rushed to their homes to inform their family members about the arrival of Shri Mehraj Thakur.
Mahavji ji Bhai managed to let Shri Mehraj and His companions stay near his residence. All were happy to discuss about the issue and to talk about the happenings related with each of them.
Mahavji ji managed for the dinner and meal to all the guests. He himself served all of them with the foods of different kinds.
Kanhji Bhai was son of Mahavji ji. Mahavji ji sent his son to his shop and he himself remained present at home in the service of Shri Mehraj. After the dinner, all sat to listen to the discourses. Shri Mehraj narrated what happened at Thattanagar.
The details of Thattanagar were very pleasing. All, by the Grace of the Supreme Lord, enjoyed well on hearing the same.
Shri Mehraj described about Paramdham. Those, who got released from the slavery of the pirates, forgot the agony of the slavery.
Two ladies, Roopa Bai & Radha Bai, who were also relieved from the pirates’ slavery, also attended the discourses. They were graced by the Lord to have a feeling of the presence of the Lord in their hearts on listening to the Divine Discourses delivered by Shri Mehraj.
All who adhered to the preaching liked it by their inner hearts. Mahavji ji also paid due heed and stepped forward to get enlightened, as he recognized Shri Mehraj as his soul’s Lord.
The news of Shri Mehraj’s arrival at the residence of Mahavji ji and dissemination of His Divine preaching spread throughout the City: hence a good number of people started to attend the association for having ‘Darshan’ (for paying holy visit) of Shri Mehraj.
Shri Mehraj continued His programme there for a few days say ten or twelve days. Simultaneously, the devil-minded people began to create nuisance.
They tended to tell lie and find faults in the behaviour of Shri Mehraj, because of their being opponents.
Some envious people thought to have a quarrel with Shri Mehraj and His associates with a hope to defame all; hence they burglarized some miscreants to have a fight;
Whereas the associates were busy to enjoy the sweetness of the Divine Speech of Shri Mehraj, they also enjoyed the company of others involved in singing devotee-songs, composed by Shri Mehraj since related with the Lord and His grace, .
Shri Mehraj composed some, say two or four ‘Keertan’ (Poems) anew. And to attract the audience consciousness He spoke, “Why do you have concern with the world? You should, instead, contemplate deeply to visualize the ‘Lord’ within you.”
The second poem reads thus, “O the Divine Souls! The worldly human beings seem to have gone crazy as none valued one’s existence on the earth in order to take advantage of one’s being a human; instead, one has been living fully indulged in the illusions of ‘Maya’.” He continued, “Look at the living creatures, all are involved in getting satisfied by enjoying with the help of the limbs and organs of their bodies such as eyes, ears, tongue, nose, skin etc.”
Shri Mehraj exclaimed, “O My Soul! Thou art enlightened and possess specialty to be called ‘Mahamati’; hence do not forget what thou art? Although the worldly human beings have concern with the illusion of the dreamy world, yet thou got the feeling of the separation from the Lord and Paramdham.
By understanding the Divine Message contained in the above verses, Mahavji ji Bhai got fully satisfied to accept the discipleship.
Besides, the other members amongst the audiences also accepted the discipleship. All of them were interested in adhering to the Divine Discourses concerned with the Supreme Lord. Any other type of talks gave no interest to them.
One day, Shri Mehraj pointed out something as disqualification and unwanted elements, which were due to hallucination in the mind of Mahavji ji, since he was not fully awakened. As such he took it otherwise.
He made up in his mind to discard the association. He concluded that Shri Mehraj scolded him for nothing.
With this decision, Mahavji ji did not attend to listen to the preaching thereafter next day and got busy at his home. He was unhappy with Shri Mehraj.
In the night he slept in the shop, away from his home. But the Lord Supreme appeared to him in the dream and struck him on one of the cheeks. He was afraid of it.
He heard, the Lord spoke to him, “Why did you discard the preaching which you should have adhered to seriously. Go to the Lotus Feet of Shri Mehraj and recognize His Personality.”
No sooner he waked up than he arrived at the place, where Shri Mehraj had been staying. He requested Shri Mehraj to rise and step out from His bed. He begged pardon for his misconduct.
He prostrated at the Lotus Feet of Shri Mehraj and narrated what happened to him. He spoke, “The Lord has struck on my cheek and has directed me to seek shelter at your Lotus Feet: Kindly, forgive me.”
“My Lord! You pointed out my faults, but I thought otherwise and because of my misunderstanding I disliked to attend the association. I feel ashamed that I could not recognize you, My Lord. I am still a worldly creature, badly involved in the illusion of Maya.”
Thereafter, Mahavji Bhai got stuck to the association and became adept. He was fully convinced with what was preached to him by Shri Mehraj ji.
All other members of his family such as his son, his wife, his parents and others in his family protested strongly and expressed their quarrelsome behaviour on account of Mahavji’s inclination towards the divine preaching of Shri Mehraj, owing to which he accepted the discipleship of Shri Mehraj. This was due to illusion of Maya by which, all others except Mahavji were engulfed.
The devil in the mind of all these people compelled them to adopt the anti-human attitude against Mahavji, but they failed: despite their best of the efforts they could not mend him according as they wanted.
Because Mahavji had surrendered to Shri Mehraj and the ‘Lord’ favoured him by holding his hands for supporting him, he did not like to go back to mix with other members of his family.
All devil minded people of his family failed and could not catch hold of him. Mahavji, by then, experienced his conscious presence in Paramdham, sitting face to face with the ‘Lord’ in Mool-Milava, which was most pleasing to keep him in the service of Shri Mehraj whom Mahavji recognized as his soul’s ‘Lord’.
Many other attendants became associates and disciples of Shri Mehraj. Laldas ji described their names. First was Vishwanath.
Others were Radha Bai, Roopa Bai, Bhatia ji- the Chief of the town, Khattoo too, but Rajobai was the first lady, who recognized Shri Mehraj as her soul’s Lord.
Heer ji Bhatia & Mavji together became disciples. Next was Narayan Kayashtha. Ramji also listened to about Shri Mehraj and followed them.
Two fellows of Khambhalia (Saurashtra) named Jeeva Bhai and Sangjibhai met Shri Mehraj at Masqat. Mahavji’s son Kanhji, Heerabai, Ganga Bai also became disciples.
Lakhpat Bhai, Ranganathi, Manji, Jeeva Bhai, Roop ji Kamdar and Versi Bhai also associated to become disciples of Shri Mehraj.
Shri Mehraj disseminated preaching in a special manner, listening to which the attendants were enjoying to such an extent that the same could not be possible to be described-, said Laldas ji.
Everyday the associates celebrated the festive-programme of listening to Divine Discourses regularly whole heartedly. Simultaneously, the devil minded people also tried to disturb but all the festive-programme were parallel to those of Paramdham to which the associates had all concerns by their hearts.
An agent of the pirates also was the participant there who shouted for the ransom money for releasing those who were still in the pirates’ slavery. The attendants requested Shri Mehraj to take necessary action to satisfy him  (to get Tej Kunwar released).
Shri Mehraj replied, “The Lord is Great & HE would do what HE likes. Why should I bother when every thing happens according to HIS Divine Order?”
The agent was stunned to hear what Shri Mehraj replied. He found that Shri Mehraj had been fully dependent upon the Almighty, hence he kept silence. He began to attend to listen to the preaching. When he left the place, he reminded to pursue the matter next day.
With this motive to remind the concerned persons about the payment of ransom, he was present there to attend the association; but actually he was interested to adhere to the preaching of Shri Mehraj. He showed gratitude to God that he got a chance to attend the association daily with whatever pretext he had.
Shri Mehraj stayed at Masqat in the year of Vikram Samvat 1728 (1670-71 A D). During that year most of the kidnapped persons were got released from the slavery of the pirates, by their relatives.
One renowned rich, Bhairon Seth of Abbasi Port heard about those who interestedly got their caste fellows released from the pirates’ slavery. He thought to do something to get released his caste fellows, in order to earn reputation.
He managed to enquire from the agent as to how much money would be required to be paid for releasing his caste fellows.
His messenger informed him after due inquiry that a handsome money to the tune of Seventy thousand Laharis (the Arabian Coins) was demanded by the agent.
Shri Laldas ji concluded the chapter of the events, which took place at Masqat Bandar. In the next chapter, he says, “Apart from the description of Masqat Bandar which is not completed now, I would talk about what happened at Abbasi Bandar for which Shri Mehraj left Masqat Bandar.”

                                                                                            Prakaran 26 - Chopai 1132.

CHAPTER 27 – ABBASI BANDAR VRATANT.

Shri Laldas ji described in this chapter about Abbasi Bandar, where Bhairon Seth was a chief & a rich man. He took care to get his caste fellows released from the slavery of the pirates.
He sent his men to Masqat and got his caste fellows released and came back to Abbasi Bandar at his home.
When Bhairon Seth met Shri Mehraj at Masqat, he brought Shri Mehraj at his residence and presented himself for performing the sacred services.
He inquired from Shri Mehraj about the welfare etc. in respect of those of His relatives and caste fellows who had been the residents in India. Shri Mehraj told to him every thing in details.
Bhairon Seth got well acquainted with Shri Mehraj and he got an opportunity to manage for Shri Mehraj’s stay at his residence nearer to his own one. He also invited Shri Mehraj to dine with him.
Adjacent to kitchen, he managed for a bedroom for Shri Mehraj’s rest and also for discourses to be delivered to the associates.
Bhairon Thakur along with other members of his family sat before Shri Mehraj and listened to the Divine   Discourses in respect of Brij Leela of Shri Krishna, very attentively.
What they listened to was very pleasing to everybody and nobody could mind of the time elapsed. They attended the discourses late in the afternoon without any doubts about any worldly affairs.
By that time, Shri Mehraj was requested to have His meal, hence He left the meeting hall. Bhairon Seth with a great joy in his heart went to his home.
Again after taking His meal, Shri Mehraj sat in the meeting hall along with all the associates and started preaching. The outsiders also associated willingly.
The programme continued till it was night. Shri Mehraj then sang melodious songs, which were in the verses, composed by Him, regarding Raas-Ramat-plays. All the attendants also participated in reciting the verses (Keertan) by chorus.
It was too late of the night passed. Bhairon Thakur thence left for his home whereas the programme still continued and the associates enjoyed the discourses.
The discourses were so interesting (in respect of Paramdham) that the whole night passed and next day dawned. All got up for carrying out daily routine works of teeth brushing, bathing etc. Bhairon Seth also woke up and got ready.
Some of the attendants were sleeping while others were still listening to the discourses. Some outsiders started to have visit. The programme discontinued for a short while.
The next morning, Bhairon Thakur and some others also presented themselves. The programme restarted to please every body.
Along with Bhairon Seth, two persons belonging to Multan (a reputed place in Punjab –now Pakistan), who were the followers of Nanak’s faith (Sikhism) and preaching Yoga also participated.
They presented a book containing the words (verses) of Kabeer. They had no knowledge in respect of right interpretation of Kabeer’s words. These verses were discussed and Shri Mehraj revealed the mysteries. They were fully satisfied. They continued attending the discourses daily.
After some time, one day they surrendered at the Lotus Feet of Shri Mehraj. They showed inclination according as they were related by their consciousness with Paramdham.
Tej Bai- a lady also arrived while the verses of Narsi Mehta, a devotee of Shri Krishna, were being sung. She participated and also brought other members of her family.
The other companions (ladies) of Tej Bai also followed her and they all liked the Keertan, sung by the associates. They prostrated before the Lotus Feet of Shri Mehraj.
It so happened that the companions of Tej Bai did not take care of their domestic affairs and remained inclined to participate in the programme regularly, every day.
One day, Shri Mehraj spoke to Bhairon Thakur, “You have invited me here at your home-place. You have performed a praise-worthy service, by getting a good number of people –some of them were the associates including my wife, released from the slavery of the pirates. I am very much obliged to you for your timely help.  As such I feel indebted to pay you, in kind.
“But what value should I pay in kind that may be equally valuable in order to make me get relief from your indebtedness.”
Shri Mehraj then suggested, “I possess invaluable Divine Wisdom delivered to me by my Sadguru, which I have been preaching to you all. I advise you to adhere to it attentively. I am sure the “Lord” shall enlighten your Divine Soul.
Bhairon Thakur then bowed and spoke politely, “O My Lord! You have showered Grace over me, a person who is fully devolved into the pool of sins. You accepted my request for preaching and delivering the Divine Discourses.”
Shri Mehraj advised him further, “You may please follow as per my instructions and I assure you that you shall get shelter at the Lotus Feet of the ‘Lord’ at your home only.
“Spare one month’s time for me and give up during the month what I would suggest to forsake. I shall give one preaching and you shall find shelter at the ‘Lord’s Feet’.
“After a month you shall be freed to adopt the same if you would like and simultaneously bid farewell to me. I shall proceed further to another destination leaving you at your liberty to enjoy in the illusive world.
“What I would like you to give up is detailed thus- 1) Give up smoking tobacco, 2) Give up non-vegetarian meal as meat and fish, 3) Give up all sorts of vices including drinking liquor and (4) Give up enjoyment with ladies other than your own wife (polygamy) as well as committing theft.
“For a given period of one month, please observe to refrain from the above evil-deeds or the bad habits so that your pious soul must reach the very place where ‘Peace and Love’ pervade and the soul enjoys ecstasy by being nearer the Lord.”
Bhairon Seth was so much impressed that he said with a firm determination, “This all is very easy. I shall have to give up all that you have ordered me since I came out of the illusions (the influence of Kaliyug).
He continued, “If by this effort, I shall get enlightened, what more do I like to have? Nothing. Kindly show me the right path & lead me to reach the place of ecstasy.”
He atonce destroyed the pot which was a part of the smoking device and which he always had with him. Also he took oath to give up the moral-worsening habits. He prostrated before Shri Mehraj to listen to His Divine Message, very attentively.
He also directed his cooks to prepare his meal separately without meat and fish since he would like to become a person who did not have any concern or any interest with non-vegetarian foods.
The other members of his family began to feel perplexed. They thought who forced Bhairon Seth to change by leaving his old pattern.
They thought, how it would be possible as Bhairon Seth was fully depending on non-vegetarian foods, without which he would not live. No body knew about Shri Mehraj; hence they were going on telling that.
Bhairon Seth clarified to them that he had not given up all that forever; the arrangement was made for a few days. In case, he would fail to get enlightened as other associates had got, he would rejoin them.
With his firm determination to observe restrictions, he spent three days and enjoyed the preaching. After three days he spoke:
“I have determined to restrict myself from these four kinds of the vices forever, through out my whole life. I am fortunate to have been graced by the Lord and I reached the stage to explain the misery of the illusive world (Maya) with which I shall have no concern, as my soul has become pious with the Divine Wisdom    I listened to.
Since Bhairon Thakur was the chief of his community & a renowned rich person of the town, it was enough to attract the attention of other citizens of the town when he became a disciple of ‘Shri Mehraj’. As such the devil minded people began to create nuisance.
A lady named Sukh Bai and one of the companions named Gobardhan Bhai, both became the member of the association of the disciples. Then the Bhansali caste fellows belonging to a particular group began to say, “Where from these holy persons (Momin) have come here who are adored by all those that attend the discourses being disseminated by their Preceptor (Shri Mehraj)?”
These devil-minded persons also pointed out that they failed to check other members of the family especially the ladies from going there. They reached Bhairon Thakur and uttered, “You are my opponent with whom we shall have to fight.”
Bhairon Thakur said, “We do not invite any body to associate with us. Those who attend do so at their own accord. You should exercise your control over the ladies of your houses so that they may not come to adhere to the discourses.
“How can we ban their entry in the hall of the association where the Divine Message of the Lord is being conveyed to the Divine Souls who are concerned with the Supreme Lord and are getting enlightened in order to recognize Shri Mehraj?”
Bhairon Thakur continued, “Neither you, yourself, attend the association to listen to the valuable Divine discourses, nor you want that your ladies should do so; hence you create nuisance. This all is because you are devil minded people and involved fully in selfishness because of the influence of Kaliyug.”
On the pleading of Bhairon Thakur, all of them got ashamed. They were then helpless; hence kept quiet.
At homes, they started to have quarrels with their wives and asked as to why they go to attend the association. They took objection for the ladies’ absence from their homes during the night.
Their ladies replied to them, “We do not commit any sin; we do go there to listen to the Divine Discourses being delivered by Shri Mehraj”.
They added, “ It is very rare that such programme of holding the association to listen to the Divine Message take place here. The Lord graced us, so we got a golden opportunity.
“We are lucky as a result of our past Karmas and our souls’ original relations that we have achieved the shelter at the Lotus Feet of the Lord; but you people behave with us like enemies to create nuisance.
“Because, we have surrendered ourselves to the Lord by our Souls, we are ready to leave in your interest our physical bodies, which, not our souls, you might think to own.
“What will you do now when we do not comply with you?” These devil minded people then approached Tej Bai to discuss the issue.
Tej Bai was the chief amongst the ladies of the town, hence they all requested her, “If you kindly discontinue listening to the discourses of the renowned saint, we shall feel very much obliged to you.
Tej Bai clarified, “What for you put a barrier for me. Look at me, I am too old, hence I have no other business except remembering the ‘Lord’. I am not committing any thing wrong if I do attend the association to listen to the Divine Message of Shri Mehraj.”
Then the people said, “Why we should obstruct you from going there alone, but our ladies follow you and  we do not like that thing. It is why we restrict you.”
“We request you that you should not go for our sake, to attend the association.”
Tej Bai spoke very firmly, “You are free to put a barrier to check your ladies; but I shall go without fail. You may do what you can.”
Swami Laldas ji says that good many attendants became the members of the association and it is not possible to describe the names of all those gentlemen. One of them was Bhairon Thakur and the other’s name was Devchand.
The names of some other followers were Amaria Bhai, Amolak Bhai, Mer Bhai, Indravati Bai, and an old lady Radha Bai.
Besides, Sutai Bai, Phool Bai, Ratan Bai, Lachho Bai and Sakhi Bai had to face a great deal of difficulties, but they managed to attend the discourses.
In addition to above, another Tej Bai, Kishni Bai and Jasoda Bai rushed to have a visit  & to see Shri Mehraj as soon as they learnt about His arrival at Masqat.
Shri Laldas ji says that there were so many others whose names can not be described here, but would be pronounced later whenever required in connection with any particular issue.
Thus all the associates were participating to adhere to the Divine Discourses very happily.
The associates took part in deep meditation to enjoy their presence in Paramdham when Shri Mehraj attracted their souls to feel so. Shri Mehraj was pleased to have a good number of people who had become the members of the association of the disciples.
Shri Mehraj and the associates were welcoming any new person whosoever participated and adhered to the preaching along with the detailed narration of Shri Krishna and the Brij damsels’ (Gopies) love plays. The contents of the discourses were well understood by all of them.
It was Bhairon Thakur, who took the responsibility to perform services to please all the associates, as the Grace of the ‘Lord’ blessed him and he had become closely related with Shri Mehraj ji.
After His stay at Abbasi for two or three months, Shri Mehraj expressed His intention to proceed therefrom to some other place. The members of the association were weeping to learn this, as they were not prepared to leave the Lotus Feet of Shri Mehraj.
They requested Shri Mehraj, “You have pulled us to your Lotus Feet and we are delighted to experience closeness of Paramdham through your version. Day and night we intend to be blessed by your mercy. We need nothing else. Despite this, why do you proceed away from us?”
Shri Mehraj thought, “If I stay here for one whole year it is definite that more associates would arrive here happily and the number of the associates (Sundersath) would multiply gradually.
“But the task entrusted by Shri Devchandra ji is gigantic in order to include ‘Shakundal & Sukumar (two eminent Divine Souls of Paramdham) in the association of Sundersath. The expansion of the faith of the association of Sundersath needs to be made to the extremity of the universe” – Shri Mehraj thought deeply.
“I stayed here at one place (Abbasi Bandar). I am not to reign here, but these fellows are not prepared to relieve and let me proceed.”
Shri Mehraj kept this idea in his mind for good many days. He sought the clue by deep meditation by offering prayer to the Lord. He found intense love of Sundersath towards Him and Paramdham.
He concluded that He must go from one place to another to find out the Divine Souls of Paramdham and awake them from the dream of the illusion of the world, as this was most important. The Lord then managed and it happened that –
A rumour spread in respect of a new ruler, who would not allow any body to have concern with any of the faiths other than that of a Muslim. As such, those who were non-Muslim fled away to hide themselves.
Bhairon Thakur was also worried about seeking a place of shelter for his family members. He, therefore, found himself unable to take proper care of Shri Mehraj.
He requested Shri Mehraj to leave Abbasi. He managed for Shri ji’s sea journey by ship from Abbasi to Basra. Some of the associates also accompanied and reached Basra.
Bhairon Thakur presented ornaments and garments with some money for journey expenses to Shri Mehraj and his companions. He tried his best according to his capacity to do so.
The attendants at Abbasi got benefited with the Grace of the Lord to the extent, each one was having concern to that degree. What happened there was according to the Divine Order of Lord,
Swami Laldas ji completed this chapter describing the events pertaining to Abbasi Bandar. He would mention in the next chapter in respect of the description of Thattanagar where Shri Mehraj arrived from Masqat, Abbasi and Basra.

CHAPTER 28 – NALIYA KEE OR

Swami Laldas ji described that Shri Mehraj and the associates arrived at Kog Bandar from Abbasi Bandar. Therefrom they again sailed to reach Lathi Bandar (the port of Thattanagar).
At Lathi Bandar, Shri Mehraj halted for four days and therefrom arrived at Thattanagar. When Natha Joshi learnt about the arrival of Shri Mehraj at Thattanagar, he rushed to meet and bring his Sadguru (Shri Mehraj) to his home.
The other disciples of Thattanagar also moved to welcome and bring Shri Mehraj at their homes. Having a sight of Shri Mehraj, the intricacy of the worldly sorrows diminished.
This time, Shri Mehraj stayed at the residence of Thakuri Bai and Zindadas, where all other associates arrived to have ‘Darshan’ (pay holy visit) of the Lord.
Thakuri Bai cooked the meals of Shri Mehraj and Sundersath and brought vegetables etc. from the market.
Shri Mehraj and Tej Kunwar, His wife with all the companions sat to take their meal at Thakuri Bai’s residence (as she arranged for the same).
The disciples residing at Thattanagar were delighted and they also brought edible commodities from their homes to present the same to Shri Mehraj and the associates who stayed at Thakuri Bai’s residence.
Shri Mehraj described in respect of the details what happened at Abbasi Bandar. He expressed His gratitude to the ‘Lord’, by whose grace, a good number of attendants at Abbasi Bandar became the members to join Sundersath’ association.
The disciples of Thattanagar heard the history of Abbasi very happily and concluded that their Lord – Mahamati Shri Prannath ji showed them a very simple and the most dignified way to return to their Super Eternal Abode – Paramdham, to which they belong.
All others at Thattanagar also started to arrive there. They prostrated at the Lotus Feet of their ‘Lord’. They then found shelter having no sorrows of the dream world.
In Vikram Samvat 1728, in the lunar month of Vaishakh (coinciding with April & May of 1671 A D), Shri Mehraj reached Thattanagar. The associates (Sundersath) were so impressed with His preaching that they compelled Him to stay there more.
Along with the citizens of Thattanagar, other residents of Matahari also attended the association. They were graced by Mahamati Shri Prannath ji, who described the details of Paramdham for their interest.
Swami Shri Laldas ji says that the names of those new entrants, who were graced by Shri Prannath ji and showed their inclination to join their hearts with Supreme Lord, would be detailed now.
They were – Bhakt das, Shahiji, Adan, Makrand, Paran, Motan, Tulsi and Gobardhan. The others were –
Jethmal, Balchand, Dayal, Dharam das, Sukhanand, Shyamal, Srinand and Mittha Bhai.
Swami Laldas ji continues to tell the names of all the new entrants such as – Todarmal and Nand das, second Motan, Ladak Bai, Gauri Bai, Gareeb das, Gyaan Bai and Khetan Bai.
Shyam Bai, Suhag Bai and Kalyan Bai, Samji Bai, Megh Bai and Sahajmal – all these were acquainted with Shri Mehraj’s Lordship as owner (Master) of their souls.
The others were Tharibai, Pyaribai and Paribai and Ajbai, who learnt about Shri Mehraj’s blessings; hence they attended the association.
Next to above were Dharam das Bhai, Bandhan Bhai, Prithvimal and Jaimal and Madhodas – all these surrendered to Shri Mehraj ji.
The other followers were Jethmal, Balchand, Gokul das, and Bansi das, Girdhar, Boolchand and Raichand, who got awakened and had their faith in the Supreme Lord.
Mool Chand (the third), Harpal, Hira Bhai, Bal Chand, Soor ji Bhai & Khemdas enjoyed the pleasure of Paramdham by joining the association and listening to the Divine preaching.
Rajan, Tharabhai, Kamalbhai, Sumerchand, Harbimb, Kishundas, Jethianand & Moolbai Rambai followed.
Mekhabai, Umarbai, Malookbai, Jeevanibai, Shyam Bai, Sahudrabai, Ruichand & Harbai – these all got their faith in Shri Mehraj as their Master (Sadguru).
Laxmi Bai and Samaibai followed to acquaint themselves with the Divine Knowledge. All others who heard about Shri Mehraj also gathered as attendants.
All the above named persons were the residents of Matod, who arrived at Thattanagar to attend the discourses. Despite the fame of Shri Mehraj, the devil-minded people attempted to misguide the associates.
It is mentioned in Quran that at the time of Qayamat (the Day of Justice), when it would come, the devotees of the Almighty would be harassed very badly: so it happened there.
Shri Laldas ji says that now he would describe the history of Thattanagar. Shri Mehraj sent a letter to Jamnagar (Navtanpuri) to inform Bihari ji about His arrival from Abbasi Bandar (details of foreign tour).
Shri Mehraj informed Bihari ji in respect of His stay in Masqat and Abbasi, where he awakened a good number of people who became the members of the association of Sundersath.
Shri Mehraj also informed the other associates by letter sent to them through Shyamal das, an associate.
Bihari ji was informed about the stay in Deep Bandar (Due Port) also where a good number of people were made disciples and among whom the Divine Message of Shri Devchandra ji was disseminated.
Shri Mehraj asked Bihari ji to meet Him at Cutch where He had a programme to go in a few days.
The Sundersath (Disciples) of Thattanagar were not ready to let Shri Mehraj go anywhere leaving them. Shri Mehraj stayed there for a month then he showed his intention to go to Cutch to meet Bihari ji.
Anyhow after a long discussion, Sundersath agreed to let Shri Mehraj ji moved further towards Cutch.
Shri Mehraj, in addition to above, informed Bihari ji by a letter about those new entrants of Laxmanpur, who attended and listened to His Divine Discourses and got enlightened and also got relieved from the worldly sorrows, by the Grace granted by Shri Mehraj.
Shri Laldas ji concluded that what happened at Thattanagar has been described in this chapter; he would say about Shri Mehraj’s journey to Naliya (where Shri Mehraj proceeded to meet Bihari ji).

CHAPTER 29 – NISKASIT DHARA KA PRATYAAGAMAN.

Swami Laldas ji described that having left Thattanagar, Shri Mehraj arrived at Naliya, One person, named Dhara Bhai, who learnt about the arrival of Shri Mehraj moved ahead to pay a holy visit.
He told his history to Shri Mehraj that he had been staying at Khambhalia along with other associates.
He furthered that when Soor ji came back from Masqat, so many people gathered at Khambhalia and they participated in the discussion held between them.
Dhara Bhai continued, “Many new entrants attended the discourses along with the members of my family as the Grace of Shri Raj ji (the Supreme Lord) blessed me. Shri Raj ji appeared in person to bless.
“The Lord appeared in person daily with whom I had talked and He charged me by HIS grace by abiding in my heart. Then I started preaching and described vividly the details of Paramdham to those who attended.
The attendants, Sundersath then started adoring me and they offered ‘Gadi’ to seat me there & performed special services to please me.
“This all was owing to Grace of the Almighty (Lord) that I was receiving the profound reverence of Sundersath, who had believed in me beyond all doubts.”
Dhara Bhai proceeded further to explain, “No sooner, Bihari ji heard about me, than he angered to condemn me. He opined that it was the illusion of Maya because of which a new system crept in to misguide the associates.”
According to Dhara Bhai, Bihari ji abused those, who followed ‘Nijanand Sampradaay’ of Dhani Shri Devchandra ji but belonged to the low-caste, as if they introduced their own doctrines to the separate folk of people of their choice by ignoring the right path shown by Dhani Shri Devchandra ji.
Thereafter, Bihari ji asked Nagji Bhai to send a letter to Soor ji & mentioned therein to arrive at Jamnagar.
Soor ji on receiving the letter reached Jamnagar (Navanagar) & met Bihari ji, having fear in his heart because of the behaviour of Dhara Bhai.
He informed Bihari ji about the welfare of Sundersath (associates), who were gathering at Khambhalia.
But Bihari ji got annoyed and spoke, “You all are inclined towards ‘Maya’. The devil-minded persons have gathered at your home.”
He continued, “Discard Dhara and do not allow him & members of his family to meet other Sundersath.
“Better it would be to comply with my order: otherwise our relation of Paramdham would be broken. You would then deserve to be discarded from the association of Sundersath, when I learn that you have   disobeyed me.”
Soor ji, thereupon, got prepared to leave company of Dhara. He spoke, “Why should I allow Dhara to associate with us. I prefer to be called one among twelve thousand Brahmashristies of Paramdham.
“We maintain the relation of Paramdham; why do you think to discontinue the relationship with me? I shall not comment to compromise with Dhara & his family members. I shall always be prostrating before you.”
Soor ji then returned to Khambhalia and took remedial steps to discard Dhara Bhai & his family members according to the order of Bihari ji.
Dhara Bhai narrated the above facts to Shri Mehraj and spoke, “Soor ji called upon all Sundersath and discarded me from the association. Beni Bai who was among ones with me, requested –
“What sins have we committed? What is our fault to expel us from the association as well as from the village and the State too?”
Soor ji exclaimed, “Bihari ji ordered to condemn you; hence what Sundersath of Khambhalia would do? You meet Bihari ji and request him to grant you excuse.”
Dhara Bhai further told Shri Mehraj, “I along with all the members of my family went to Navtanpuri (Jamnagar). We all requested repeatedly to Bihari ji to forgive us, but he paid no heed.
He continued, “I wept before Bihari ji, but in vain. Then I came back. One complete year has elapsed thereafter. All my efforts and prayers became fruitless.
“I concluded that there remains no alternative except to seek shelter at the Lotus Feet of Shri Mehraj for the sake of the Grace of the ‘Lord’.
“When learnt about your arrival, I at once reached here with joy in my heart and have fallen at your graceful Lotus Feet.”
Dhara Bhai further surrendered himself to beg shelter & spoke, “I have come to your Lotus Feet to rest here in the utter peace: now it is upto you, do what you like in my favour. I have decided not to leave the place of the shelter, which I found at the Lotus Feet of my ‘Lord’.”
Shri Mehraj listened to Dhara Bhai and replied, “Please have patience in your heart, don’t worry now.
“Bihari ji would come here and I shall talk to him. I shall do every thing to please him”
Shri Mehraj first of all replied to the letter of Bihari ji, who informed that he would not arrive there. Also he sent the messenger with his instruction to meet immediately and convey his message to Shri Mehraj.
Shri Mehraj again sent a letter through Vishwanath, the messenger to go to Jamnagar (Navanagar) to request Bihari ji to proceed to Naliya as he would reach there at the earliest.
Upon this, Bihari ji sailed from Jamnagar to have a meeting with Shri Mehraj at Naliya. When he landed at Madai port, Dhara Bhai rushed at once to inform Shri Mehraj in respect of the arrival of Bihari ji.
Dhara Bhai congratulated Shri Mehraj with the information about the arrival of Bihari ji. Shri Mehraj was also pleased with Dhara Bhai. He intended to award him for this.
Dhara Bhai requested Shri Mehraj to grant him the boon of Bihari ji’s pleasure by forgiving him and to accept him as his disciple so that he might prostrate before him.
He spoke, “Kindly let me associate with others and enable me to once again join the religion of Sadguru Dhani Shri Devchandra ji. I have no other desire, but this, which may kindly be fulfilled.”
At the same time, eight numbers of disciples along with the members of their families had arrived there from Surat to pay holy visit to Shri Mehraj.
One of them was Akil Bhagwan; the second was Nagji Nahna. The others were Vallabha ji & Dhan ji who joined the association with their families.
Also Sunder Bai, Ratan Bai, Mata Bai & Lalo Bai were amongst those who arrived there.
Four members were along with Bihari ji whose names were Sang ji, Akhai, Harbansh and Lala.
Tej Bai, Roopa Bai and Radha were always in the service of Shri Mehraj.
Natha Bhai and Khema Bhai were among associates at Naliya long with Shri Mehraj. They accompanied Shri Mehraj from Thattanagar with the intention to make Shri Mehraj’s journey easy and they were determined to go back to Thattanagar from Naliya, but they did not go and stayed there.
For the sake of Dhara Bhai’s welfare, his sister, Ajbai along with Soor ji, Har ji, Thirdas and Jeevraj arrived there to request Shri Mehraj.
Harbansh Bhai and Narhar Bhai arrived there to pay holy visit to Shri Mehraj. Their wives were also accompanying them.
At the occasion of the arrival of Bihari ji at Naliya, all the members of association of Sundersath were pleased to welcome Bihari ji.
Since the chief of Naliya was one of Shri Mehraj’s castes, he on the demand of Shri Mehraj managed a suitable accommodation at Naliya for their stay, where all the associates and Bihari ji had their stay: Bihari ji was welcomed by all who were present there.
Shri Mehraj told Bihari ji all the details of the past days in respect of enlightening many people at Thattanagar, Masqat and Abbasi. Bihari ji expressed his happiness.
All other associates also participated to enjoy along with Shri Mehraj and Bihari ji. The riddles of the worldly illusions were away from them. A grand feast was arranged daily. All assembled to enjoy there.
Shri Mehraj started his preaching to satisfy the Divine Souls, listening to which the audiences got relief from the illusions of ‘Maya’.
Shri Mehraj imparted the necessary instructions to Roopa Bai and Radha Bai to obey Bihari ji and please him with their pious services, with their minds to treat Bihari ji well.
Shri Mehraj spoke, “Know that Bihari ji is the representative of the ‘Lord Supreme’ (Shri Raj ji) on the earth (Being successor to Shri Devchandra ji)” He also explained to please Bihari ji first, and then get satisfied that they pleased Him (Shri Mehraj).
He continued, “If you disobey Bihari ji, I shall have no concern with you; I shall leave you forever.”
Shri Mehraj trained the ladies well and told them, “I have explained each & every thing. Now do not put any blame to me.”
Shri Mehraj also imparted necessary instructions to other associates in order to maintain the relations of Paramdham amongst all of them.
During the course, Shri Mehraj and Bihari ji sat together in a lonely place. They began to discuss about the future programme in respect of making more Divine Souls to get enlightened for the sake of ‘Jaagni’, which was scheduled to be due at that time.
Shri Mehraj then presented the garments and ornaments to Bihari ji and to those, who arrived with Bihari ji in order to honour them. He also presented the utensils and other valuables to some of them.
Thereafter, whatsoever remained undistributed with Shri Mehraj, he presented all including cash in hand, ornaments and garments to Bihari ji, leaving nothing with Him except a piece of long clothe (Dhoti), which he was putting on.
He respected Bihari ji as His Lord (the representative of the Lord Supreme on the Earth) and also presented the ornaments etc. which Tej Kunwar, His wife had with her.
Shri Mehraj pleased Bihari ji with all means, then He requested to allow Dhara Bhai to join the association, “Because”, He spoke, “I am obliged to him, who informed me about your arrival to please me, hence I shall get free of his debt by fulfilling my promise.”
He continued, “I have given words to him to make you forgive him for his praise-worthy action of telling me about your arrival; and I was so much indebted to him that I would have no hesitation to surrender my physical body to pay the cost, even then it would be lesser.
“Kindly, therefore, accept my request and allow him to re-join the association, since he begged pardon by surrendering himself before your feet.”
But Bihari ji refused bluntly, “I shall not accede to allow Dhara. I shall not take back my order; hence do not compel me to comply with your request.”
Bihari ji was very much annoyed upon the request of Shri Mehraj. He spoke, “I shall not permit him (Dhara Bhai) to re-join the association. I am not happy with him. I shall not help him at any cost. Never shall I patronize to own him.”
After four days or so, Shri Mehraj again talked and requested Bihari ji to reconsider Dhara’s case.
Shri Mehraj also pleaded, “What have these ladies (wife and sister of Dhara Bhai) done? How are they faulty? Why are they punished and discarded from the association of Sundersath?
He continued, “According to you, Dhara Bhai was a defaulter, but why others, along with him, must be debarred? It is too much injustice with the ladies. Also other associates got unhappy.”
Bihari ji pointed out, “I have already told you – not to talk about Dhara, but you have again come to me along with others to request to favour him (Dhara Bhai).
Bihari ji continued, “Not once or twice, but, even you request to favour him a thousand hundreds of times, I shall always say – No.  I have no other words except this.”
Thereafter the associates (Sundersath) advised Shri Mehraj to close the chapter. They said, “You are well aware of the nature of Bihari ji, hence think for yourself.”
Also Roopa Bai did not continue to remain any longer in the service of Bihari ji. Knowing about the behaviour of Bihari ji as informed to Him by Roopa Bai, Shri Mehraj ji doubted in Bihari ji’s behaviour.
Shri Laldas ji, while closing the chapter of Naliya says that what happened further would be detailed in the next chapter.

CHAPTER – 30 NAAD AUR BINDU MEIN BHEYD

Shri Laldas ji described that when Bihari ji learnt that Shri Mehraj ji achieved a lot of success in respect of delivering preaching, he got doubt and thought that perhaps, Shri Mehraj ji would dethrone him from Dhani Shri Devchandra ji’s honourable ‘Chair’; hence Bihari ji decided to make it an important issue.
Then both Bihari ji and Shri Mehraj selected a place of solitude in order to chalk out further programme, so that further necessary steps may be taken up to gather more and more associates and enlighten them. Shri Mehraj suggested, “Let us move and roam to see various places to have a search of the Divine Souls.”
Bihari ji rejected the proposal and said, “It is not our course of action. We would not wander from place to place like a renounced person (Sanyasi) after leaving home.”
He also advised Shri Mehraj to leave Gujarat (Saurashtra) if He would like so and go to Cutch where He may search a job for earning livelihood by pleasing any ruler or Diwan.
Shri Mehraj replied, “Shri Devchandra ji has already given me precious Divine Wisdom. I am obliged to Him for I have acquired sense of feeling my conscious presence in Paramdham.
“With that Divine Wisdom I can convince so many rulers and a good number of Diwan, who would arrive at your Feet and obey you.”
“At any cost I am not prepared to get involved in the worldly affairs. I have forsaken the whole universe consisting of fourteen planes as I found that the whole universe has been created in the dream of God Indestructible (Akshhar), while I have awakened out of the dream. Then why should I enter into the illusive environment of the world?”
Shri Mehraj continued, “Shri Devchandra ji had in His mind a plan to search ‘Shakundal and Sukumar’ the two chief Divine Souls of Paramdham in order to awaken them so that the darkness of ignorance could come to the end and the dawn full of light of Tartam – the Divine Wisdom commences.
“Therefore, for that motto, we two must go from place to place and disseminate the doctrines of Shri Devchandra ji to all the concerned souls and make the atmosphere fully lighted with the Divine Wisdom.
“You (Bihari ji) may please see that there are many kinds of the faiths and religions being followed by different folks, although the same do not aim to the ‘Ultimate Truth’; whereas we have been taught by Shri Devchandra ji to have our ‘Faith’ in filling our hearts with the ‘Eternal Grace of the Supreme Lord of Paramdham’. The Lord is Great to protect us.
“The Divine Wisdom has been taught to Shri Devchandra ji by Shri Krishna ji (Shri Raj ji), Himself; WHO, too, thence entered into the ‘Heart of Shri Devchandra ji’ in order to illuminate the universe. Then why should not we endeavour to comply with the directives of Shri Devchandra ji? We must show the ‘Light of Divine Wisdom’ to the mankind to benefit every body of the world as well as those who belong to other planes i.e. to all in fourteen planes (worlds)”.
Shri Mehraj read the mentality of Bihari ji, hence He made clear to him, “And we have decided to please you with our services. You may have your high seat –Gadi very peacefully and let us manage for the order.
“We shall contact whosoever comes here to satisfy one’s soul’s thirst; and when one becomes fully convinced to accept the discipleship, we shall direct the fellow to prostrate before you.
“We shall convince one to pay a visit to you and one would adore you treating you the Grand Preceptor, the ‘Representative of ‘Lord Supreme of Paramdham’.
Bihari ji again expressed his inability to move from place to place for the search of Divine Souls on a pretext, “I have a burden of Rang Bai.
He continued, “Rang Bai’s mother and other members of her family are residing with me; hence it would not be possible to move along with you because of them.
“I shall not leave home, nor shall I accompany you. The Lord is Great & HE shall manage to activate the concerned souls to join the association.”
Shri Mehraj and Bihari ji – the two leaders had stayed there for one and a half- month. They had been discussing the issue in order to find out any solution.
Also Shri Mehraj ji requested Bihari ji to re-consider the problem of those fellows whom Bihari ji discarded earlier from the association of Sundersath on their negligible (excusable) faults, but Bihari ji was not ready to accept His request.
Bihari ji also marked that Roopa Bai did not attend to him. He thought that she, perhaps, did not prefer him to Shri Mehraj whom she obeyed the most.
Shri Mehraj calculated within Himself as to why His heart (inner Soul) could not agree to grant Sadguru’s Soul’s Abode in Bihari ji’s heart.
Thus, they both had different ways of thinking, which none of them expressed by words or behaviour.
What Shri Mehraj thought in His mind in respect of Bihari ji, He considered it to be irrelevant and a sort of guilt; hence He diverted His mind from the point of issue.
Shri Mehraj, therefrom, arrived at Madai and arranged for His stay along with the accompanying Sundersath in a garden, which He managed to take in His possession.
Bihari ji reached Khambhalia. He saw good many Sundersath assembled there duly awakened, hence his devil-mind started to create some nuisance.
The version of the stanza relates with the past event. Some years ago, Shri Mehraj was the Prime Minister of Jamnagar. At that time, Shri Mehraj took some stern action in the interest of the Government of Jamnagar State against the ruler of Khambhalia, who since then had enmity with Shri Mehraj. On this occasion, some body (who might be a well wisher of the Khambhalia) informed the ruler in respect of the proposed arrival of Shri Mehraj at Khambhalia and indicated the probable date too.
Because, the ruler had enmity with Shri Mehraj, he decided to take revenge from Shri Mehraj. For this purpose, the ruler deputed some of his guards at so many places in order to arrest Shri Mehraj (within the territory of his State).
All the associates of Shri Mehraj got their seats in the ship bound to sail from Madai to Khambhalia, leaving Shri Mehraj alone. Suddenly, Shri Mehraj while putting His pace into the ship, sneezed just before He stepped in it.
The ‘Lord’ graced Shri Mehraj. He cancelled His journey by ship. He decided to adopt alternative course to reach the destination.
The ship full of the associates (Sundersath) including Smt. Tej Kunwar (Shri Mehraj’s wife) left the shore. Because of the favourable wind, it sailed well and reached Khambhalia. There what was expected happened as a result of devil minded ruler’s activities (who planned to arrest Shri Mehraj).
All the travelers (most of them were Sundersath) were arrested when landed from the ship. The guards (police) brought them before the ruler in his Court. All of the Sundersath belonged to Surat, who got alert to face the consequences.
A thorough search was conducted to find out some clue to arrest Shri Mehraj. All investigations resulted in vain. The ‘Lord’ graced them, hence all were acquitted the next day.
Swami Laldas ji concluded the Naliya chapter. In the next chapter, he would describe in respect of Surat history.

CHAPTER 31 – SURAT AAGMAN.

Swami Laldas ji described the detailed account in respect of Shri Mehraj’s stay at Surat. He said that Shri Mehraj left Madai and reached the Run of Cutch via Khuski. Therefrom He moved towards Dhoraji, having dressed as a Sanyasi.
The Sundersath, who were acquitted by the ruler of Khambhalia, also arrived at Dhoraji (from Khambhalia) and met Shri ji Sahib.
When Premji Thawar heard about Shri Mehraj’s transit from Run of Cutch to Dhoraji, he proceeded with a bullock-cart. He then accommodated Shri ji and other associates in the cart from a certain place in the way.
Shri ji with those, who were accompanying Him & Padamsi (who accompanied for the ten days to perform the service), then stayed at Ghogha, where He spent three days.
Thereafter, Shri ji arrived at Surat via Suhali. At Surat, He became the guest of Bhagwan and Mohandas, who were residents of Saiyedpura (a ward of Surat).
In Saiyedpura, Shiv ji Bhai’s house was adjacent to that of Bhagwan & Mohandas. Shiv ji Bhai was graced and Shri ji stayed at his house. Shiv ji Bhai began to perform services to please Shri ji whole heartily.
At the resident of Shiv ji Bhai, Shri ji stayed for seventeen months. Swami Laldas ji hereafter described what managed by Shri ji to show the drama there to awaken more people (of the Divine Souls’ group).
Shri ji had earlier begun to preach the associates at the house of Mohandas Amin, but the devil-minded entities (because of the evil effects of Kaliyug) began to disturb them.
Shri ji, therefore, shifted His residence to Shiv ji Bhai’s house at Saiyedpura and graced him for services.
The new entrants were Shiv ji & Ram ji, whom Shri ji sent to pay visit of Bihari ji at Navtanpuri.
Shri ji spoke to them, “Go and prostrate before Bihari ji, without which you shall not get enlightened.
Shiv ji, having given to understand, was sent first by Shri ji to see Bihari ji. Then Ram ji was also directed to reach and hand over to Bihari ji, a letter written by Shri ji.
According to custom, Shiv ji presented his offering of five golden coins and prostrated before Bihari ji, who was pleased with him.
Thereafter, Ram ji reached there, but Bihari ji did not permit him to enter into the room where Bihari ji had his seat. Not only this, Bihari ji discarded Ram ji from the association of the disciples and did not accept the letter brought by him from Shri ji.
Ram ji prayed for three days and lamented by begging excuse. He did not take his meal; but Bihari ji did not show any mercy. Ram ji returned to Surat.
He returned the letter to Shri ji and also narrated his story. Shri ji got shocked. He was annoyed with the behaviour of Bihari ji and was suspicious because of Bihari ji’s activities.
Dhara Bhai had been accompanying Shri Mehraj too, at Surat. Bihari ji took it otherwise and opined why Shri Mehraj did not comply with him to discard Dhara and others whom he discarded.
Bihari ji became alert and thought otherwise in respect of Shri Mehraj. He concluded that Shri Mehraj did not obey him for He wanted to lead the association of Sundersath, Himself: He thought –
“I have dismissed Ram ji, but Shri Mehraj ji allowed him to resume the association. Shri Mehraj has gone against me, and that I mark this with displeasure”.
When Shri Mehraj learnt about Bihari ji’s displeasure on account of mercy granted by Him to all those dismissed disciples, then Shri Mehraj expressed –
He spoke, “In case any of the persons, interested to become the associate of Sundersath, happens to be a handicapped (disabled) having one hand or leg only in order and the other one defective i.e. lame,              I, Indravati (name of Shri Mehraj’s Divine Soul in Paramdham) shall not leave such person unassisted, but shall help him to reach the Super Eternal Abode.”
Meanwhile, a fellow named Gobardhan arrived there from Abbasi Port and joined happily the association.
He dedicated himself to please Shri ji with his utmost hearty services. He also took the responsibility to bear all expenses in respect of associates (who had been accompanying Shri ji) in order to satisfy his soul’s longing to achieve salvation by sacrificing his selfish attitude.
The programme of Shri ji’s preaching became so popular that all sorts of people began to attend the discourses. Some of them had little or more doubts while entering into the hall of association, but soon they were pleased when they were fully convinced on listening to the preaching which clarified the doubts.
During the course, two learned persons of Surat named Bhim Bhatt and Shyam Bhatt also attended to listen to Shri Mehraj’s preaching related with the ‘Divine Wisdom’: they got hearty affection with Shri ji on learning what was preached by Him.
With regards to their Souls’ attachment with Shri ji, they attended very often to listen to the discourses and to pay their holy visit to Shri Mehraj. Thus they concluded, “We are fully convinced and have recognized that Shri Mehraj is the ‘Almighty’.
Shambhunath, a hermit was the Preceptor of Bhim and Shyam Bhatt, who had his faith in Vedanta only and was not, prepared to accept any thing else other than the principles of Vedanta. But Bhim Bhatt and Shyam Bhatt diverted their minds and got attached with Shri ji’s preaching related with the ‘Divine Wisdom’.
They concluded that those, who were indulged in the search of the Soul and its origin, would be standing in the super rank in comparison with others, since they would find that all the souls should be one & the same. Thus they would be contended.
Bhim Bhatt and Shyam Bhatt preserved the essence of the discourses of Shri ji. They and others too, were astonished when they learnt that Shri ji was disclosing the mysteries indicated in all the Holy Scriptures and of the different kinds of the faiths.
They were fully acquainted with the contents of ‘Vedanta’. Here they found new things, which they found to be beyond the reach of ‘Vedanta’.
On adhering to the discourses delivered by Shri ji for a good number of days, Shyam Bhatt began to churn what he learnt. He asked Bhim Bhatt also to deal with it similar to him.
They discussed that Shri ji was giving explanation of the secrets of ‘Vedanta’ (as He had full knowledge). But simultaneously, He (Shri ji) revealed to them so many things, which were beyond ‘Vedanta’ level. It appeared to them surprising and attractive too.
While pondering over constantly what he heard during the course of preaching, Bhim Bhatt experienced the light in his heart. He approached beyond the ‘God Indestructible’ – Akshhar in his thinking. He learnt about ‘ Super Indestructible – Aksharaateet.’
Bhim Bhatt spoke to Shyam Bhatt, “We have known so far that God is Omnipresent – in each and every thing or the particle of the Universe. But Shri ji has explained that the Godhead (the Lord Supreme) is One alone. The universes have been created according to HIS Divine Order in the dream of Akshhar and every thing in the universes exists in illusion (in the dreamy world). The whole (all universes) would annihilate (perish) when Akshhar (the God Indestructible) would get awakened as per the plan of the Lord Supreme.
“Shri ji has explained to us what has been happening in Paramdham – the Super Eternal Abode, which exists beyond Akshhardham; whereas our concept is limited to Brahmaa, Vishnu, Mahesh and Maha Vishnu – Aadi Narayan. Who are they? No one in the world knows.”
Thus Bhim Bhatt by his gradual and attentive adhering to the preaching attained the state of feeling of his conscious presence in Paramdham to visualize the ‘Love-plays between Shri Raj ji and the Brahmashristies’. He, along with all the members of his family prostrated at the Lotus Feet of Mahamati Shri Prannath ji very happily.
He abandoned first the discipleship of Shambhunath, the Preceptor of ‘Vedanta’ immediately and joined the association of Sundersath. He began to enjoy the discernment while adhering to the preaching; hence he followed to perform the services of the Sundersath in order to please them all, day and night.
One, Govind ji Vyas, the follower of ‘Vallabhi Faith’ also attended to listen to the discourses. He listened to the preaching of Shri ji, related with Shrimad Bhagwat.
In the Holy Book, “Testament of Shrimad Bhagwat” by ‘Shri Vallabhacharya’ at certain places, some indications related with ‘Brahmashristies’ (the Divine Souls) have been mentioned, but the same were not clearly interpreted by any body.
Govind ji did not understand the amplitude of the indications; hence he gathered them in all forty such questions and came up to get their proper explanations during the course of the preaching of Shri ji.
Govind ji’s associate, Vallabha Dalal copied out the forty questions and handed them over to Shri ji (when he accompanied Govind ji and came up there to adhere to Shri ji’s preaching).
Surprisingly, Shri ji’s graced Govind ji, who, himself, could explain all the forty questions to his associate (Vallabha Dalal) to the extent of latter’s full satisfaction & hearty happiness.
Govind ji himself was fully satisfied; hence he lay before Shri ji’s Lotus Feet & joined Sundersath’s association. But others having the devil-mindedness because of the influence of Kaliyug began to oppose him and called him by names.
Shri ji then sang a ‘Keertan’ (composed by Him in accordance with inspiration of Supreme Lord) – ‘Meethi Vallabhacharya Vani (contained in Tartamsagar). Some of those, who opposed Govind ji, praised and others failed on hearing the song. A few of them, no doubt, recognized Shri Mehraj’s Divinity.
It happened that many people attended there to have quarrels or criticism about the discourses, but as soon as they came face to face with Shri ji, they found in their hearts that they were obliged to the Lord, having paid the holy visits to Shri ji.
These persons, who were defaming before they attended, praised by their hearts on listening to the preaching and then concluded themselves that Shri ji alone had capacity to lead them and all others, to the nearness of the Lotus Feet of Lord Supreme.
Days passed on and meanwhile Manik Bhai came over there along with Bhagwan Bhai. No sooner he adhered to the preaching of Shri ji, than he recognized Him as his Soul’s Lord.
Meanwhile, Bihari ji wrote a letter to Shri ji. He mentioned that, “We have decided to follow a code of conduct, according to which three restrictions have to be implemented.
“I expect that you, too, should follow the same very strictly as these three restrictions are very important. If you follow them there, we all shall have to implement very faithfully.
“Out of the three, the first binding is that no body of the lower caste should be made a disciple, nor should that one be given ‘Tartam’. The second rule is that any widow should never at any cost be allowed to join our association of Sundersath. Thirdly, you and I only will be the authorised leaders to preach and indoctrinate the new entrants to accept the member of the association of Sundersath and no body else.
“These three restrictions must be followed by you there; thereafter our association will comprise of the people of the higher standard and thus none would dare put any sort of blame or condemn our behaviour.”
Shri ji read the letter and He immediately replied to Bihari ji, “You should think over what I am writing in this letter; but you should first give up the worldly mentality and instead, look into your inner heart (as a Divine Soul, whose motto is to love the humanity).
“I have written this letter in reply to your three rules, which contains the theme of Shri Devchandra ji’s principles, according to which you should take just decision yourself.
“Shri Devchandra ji condemned the differences related with the castes. He selected those only who were the Divine Souls irrespective of their higher or lower castes.
“You shall remember that Khoji Bai was a Muslim as well as a widow. Shri Devchandra ji accepted her as His disciple and recognized her as having the impression of the consciousness of Raii Bai, a Divine Soul.
“Now you must have realised that Shri Devchandra ji did not bother for any caste. He selected the Divine Souls, whom He recognized, at a glance by His Divine capacity, the deserving person. He did not account for the rank or standard of the deserving ones.”
Shri ji further explained, “Shri Devchandra ji also revealed that the Divine Souls of Paramdham – the Super Eternal Abode have appeared in the universe to make the Universe eternal by their divinity and the activities aiming at the welfare of the world (for the sake of the remembrance of the world in which their prolonged desires of Brij and Raas were fulfilled).
“Hence how far this would be justified that you and I only should do the leadership and others not. I think all those, who can carry out the leadership capably, should carry on and enlighten the Divine Souls on behalf of Sadguru as per His instructions.
“According to Shri Devchandra ji, where there is relation of any person’s Soul with Paramdham, we should ignore all merits and demerits of that person and accept him to associate with us. With our views of relation of Paramdham, the person will have Soul’s relation and would deserve our preaching.
“The Holy Scriptures – Vedas and Quran etc. contain the God’s Will that no merits or demerits in respect of caste, creed and colours will be accounted for and the God shall grace His devotee to grant him the boon of the Paradise. Just see the Deities of the Destructible Universe, where Brahmaa, Vishnu and Mahesh are worshipped, follow this principle.
“What have I mentioned above, has been taught to me by Shri Devchandra ji in your presence. As such I plead that you should follow HIM and should teach others accordingly.
“This process would definitely lead us to spread the light of ‘Tartam’ so that all those related by souls with our Paramdham may get attracted and fulfil the Souls’ desires.
“Since the Divine Souls have appeared in the dream world at different places and in different castes, it would be injustice if your instructions to implement the restrictions are followed; because those Divine Souls, whom you do not find fit to become associates shall remain ignored.”
Shri Mehraj had already composed “Kalash” Book (which formed a part of voluminous Book ‘Tartamsagar’) by that time. He sent a copy thereof along with above letter to Bihari ji in order to know about the thoughts of Bihari ji –the successor of Shri Devchandra ji.
On going through the letter of Shri Mehraj ji, Bihari ji expressed his unhappiness. He did not admit ‘Kalash’ Book also.
Bihari ji very frankly replied, “You have adopted a new path. I have, therefore, decided to become against you and leave you, too. You are relieved from the association I have with me.
“I have understood that you possess capacity to compose books and thereby you have become praise-worthy among those, who are with you; but I have discarded you from the association of Sundersath, who are with me at Jamnagar.
“I have noticed that all those fellows, whom I have discarded from the association, have been admitted by you in your company. This leads me to conclude that you have no faith in me.
“Consequently, I have given up all relations with you and also do not accept you, too, as a member of the Sundersath-association. Now I do not want to continue writing any letter or to receive any from you.”
When Bihari ji’s letter reached in the hand of Shri Mehraj, He thought over the situation and expressed, “How this occasion has come that we two have become separate?
“Bihari ji should not have written the letter so harshly. I did not commit any thing wrong. What Bihari ji has done is not expected from any Divine Souls of Paramdham.”
All the associates at Surat requested Shri Mehraj, “You may kindly compare who is superior? Bihari ji or Your Goodself? Find out in whose heart Shri Devchandra ji has made His Abode to enlighten the Souls?”
They then expressed their opinion before Shri ji, “You may kindly take over ‘Sadguru’s job to awaken the Divine Souls.”
They continued, “Kindly tell us if Bihari ji could attract any fellow to become his disciple. He could not convince anybody to get awakened and recognize the Lord even though he preached his best in respect of   Supreme Lord.
“All those whom you sent to Jamnagar to get the blessings of Bihari ji, have got depressed and arrived here.
“We request you to set aside all this and kindly concentrate to take up the pious job of spreading the religion of ‘Lord’ (Nijanand Sampradaay).”
All Sundersath with their enthusiasm and Bhim Bhatt, who was their leader, managed to adore Shri Mehraj who fulfilled their desire to establish a sacred ‘Seat’. Shri Mehraj sat on the ‘Gadi’ and acquired Gracious Fame to lead the Divine Souls to Paramdham by His hearty efforts.
Shri Mehraj informed Bihari ji by a letter, “You have dismissed me from the association of Sundersath. Well, I have now taken up the entire burden of Dhani Shri Devchandra ji. I shall move from ‘place to place’ to enlighten the Divine Souls and accomplish myself the desire of Sadguru, henceforth.”
He continued, “If we do anything with selfish motto, it will never be possible to achieve the success anywhere.
“On the contrary, if our motto defines no selfishness but the profound service to the mankind and our attempts are as well to enlighten the Divine Souls for which purpose we endeavour honestly, it is sure that we shall be successful in all respects. The occasion of the awakening of the Divine Souls is nearer which would take place at the definite and scheduled time.”
Shri Mehraj also mentioned in the letter, “I am perfectly prepared to carry out the religious work whole heartily and faithfully to please the ‘Lord’.
By this time, Swami Laldas ji left Thattanagar for his hometown, Sudamapur (Pore Bandar) and stuck him to the religious service. The further description relates to his performance of the religious services.
In Vikram Samvat 1727 (1670 A D), Swami Laldas ji arrived at Sudamapur. There, Pitambar and Bhim ji Bhai met him. They had a discussion amongst them with Swami Laldas ji regarding Paramdham.
In fact, Pitambar and Bhim ji Bhai had listened to the religious discourses delivered at Thattanagar by Swami Laldas ji. These two persons dedicated themselves to Swami Laldas ji. He indoctrinated them.
Swami Laldas ji initiated them at Sudamapur after a few days. They also dedicated themselves having their faith in the Divine Personality of Shri ji whom they recognized as their ‘Souls’ Lord’.
Some people of Vithleshwar Gosain group, who were having devil-mindedness (due to influence of Kaliyug), came forward and they opposed and censured Shri ji.
Also those who were the followers and their leaders of Vallabha Sampradaay were perturbed to see that most of them had already taken interest to attend to the discourses of Shri ji. They wondered what type of religious way was being explained to the audiences, which was altogether different from their sect.
They opined, “Our Vallabha Sampradaay is famous for its superiority; hence being followed by most of the people across the country: but those, who attended Shri ji’s discourses disclosed firmly that the religion, which they have adopted, is superior to their Vallabha Sampradaay.
Shri Laldas ji pleaded that the ‘Lord Shri Krishna’ was appearing in person in order to attract the deserving fellows. Despite, the jealous folk of people took interest in defaming this new religion.
The jealous fellows of Vallabha Sampradaay had spoken, “This new sect belongs to rodent type of animals having small bells tied to their legs and have duly covered by curtains. This is quite astonishing.
“Their version is misleading when they say that ‘Lord Shri Krishna’ appeared amongst them and dined too. They are the canvassers to impress more and more people to join the association.
Swami Laldas ji had been delivering the discourses at Thattanagar. Simultaneously, the jealous people were busy in censuring. But when Swami Laldas ji quoted references of Shrimad Bhagwat & put up questions for proper explanations of the secrets, no body was able to answer.
But many of them, who attended the discourses of Swami Laldas ji, were impressed by the Divine Wisdom disseminated by him. They also spoke the words to praise Swami Laldas ji.
At Thattanagar when Swami Laldas ji had been delivering his discourses, the topic with questions related with Shrimad Bhagwat was being discussed, but no body there was able to answer any of the questions.
Still there had been a good gathering of the people who had been attending the discourses. During the course Khemji Joshi along with Gopi also joined the association.
Also others named Damabhai, Surchand, Vastobhai and Smt. Lal Bai, the wife of Shri Laldas were admitted in the association.
Swami Laldas ji was celebrating the feasts every now and then at Thattanagar during the course of delivering discourses, while the Chief of the town also joined the association. Kanh ji, the son of Mahavji   arrived there from Masqat and became an associate.
Thus the number of the new entrants increased day by day. Those who were caught hold of their hands by the Grace of the Lord Supreme paid their utmost attention to adhere to the discourses related with the Divine Wisdom.
Swami Laldas ji had to face the threat at a large scale of the ‘Maya’. The Lord (Shri Raj ji) had a plan to deploy him in the sacred service of Sundersath, hence HE pulled him out of ‘Maya’.
It is said that in order to divert his mind from the worldly affairs, the ‘Lord’ created a troublesome situation. It so happened that a strong storm in the ocean caused all his ships sunk. Those, who had lent money to him for his business, demanded repayment of their money knowingly that Laldas ji, lost all of his moveable property.
The heavy loss of moveable property created an awful situation. He made up in his mind to renounce the world (Maya). He picked up a way to lead a religious life and to please the ‘Lord’ for HIS Grace.
He arrived at a decision to go to Navtanpuri and pay a pious visit to Bihari ji and till then, he decided not to swallow any sort of food-grain.
He contemplated to gulp the fruits only and not the cooked food. It was determined to observe his frenzy.
Swami Laldas ji left Thattanagar for Jamnagar. When he reached Mangrol Patan en route Jamnagar, some of the opponents checked him and directed to go to Surat (instead of Jamnagar).
Although Shri Laldas ji exchanged words with those people, yet he had to comply with their directives. Shri Laldas ji admitted that it was the ‘Lord’s Divine Order’ according to which he had to arrive at Surat.
From Mangrol Patan, Laldas ji landed at Deu (Deep Bandar). He stayed there for fifteen days and associated with Sundersath there. Therefrom, he arrived at Ghogha.
From there he sailed to reach Surat. In Vikram Samvat 1729 (1672 A D) he arrived at Surat.
Shri Laldas ji, on reaching Surat prostrated at the Lotus Feet of Shri Sahib ji (Shri Mehraj). He had already dedicated him by his soul to Shri ji, despite that he contemplated to observe constant fast (but fruits only).
Shri ji got very much pleased to see Laldas ji. He asked Laldas ji, “Take meal now”.
Shri Laldas ji spoke, “I have made up in my mind that I shall first go to Jamnagar and see the sacred Feet of Bihari ji. Then only I shall take meal. I have been observing fast for this purpose only.”
Shri Mehraj spoke, “Your desire has been fulfilled. Don’t worry. You have joined the association of Sundersath. You need not go to Jamnagar.”
Swami Shri Laldas ji exclaimed, “O Momino (the Divine Souls of Paramdham)! Keep this even of Surat in your remembrance. In the following chapter, I shall give more details in respect of the dispute, which took place between Shri ji and Bihari ji.
                                                                                     Prakaran 31 –Chopai 1462

CHAPTER – 32 YEK DHARAM KAA SOOTRAPAAT

Swami Laldas ji described in the beginning of this chapter a reference to the event mentioned in Quran (since the contents of Quran give indications related with Qayamat). Mohammed Paigambar had left for Mecca in the interest of Islamic religion. Swami Laldas ji compared that Shri Mehraj had also left Jamnagar for Surat because of the opponents, who were devil-minded, due to influence of Kaliyug. At Surat, He established the ‘First Seat’ to commence the religious plight to move from there further to many places to search and awaken the Divine Souls, where ever they were: thus He adopted the path leading finally to Paramdham for all of those who got enlightened.
Shri Mehraj moved from Surat, in the same way as Mohammed moved from Medina for the sake of his followers. Those, who had been accompanying Shri Mehraj, proved to be helpful in His way.
Those, who accompanied Shri Mehraj, had renounced the worldly affairs and were fully awakened; hence   Lord Supreme graced them with enlightened awareness. This event has been duly mentioned in Quran indicating a prophecy in respect of the Divine Souls (for whom the Holy Book Quran and the allied books, Hadeesh- have been written).
In Loh-Mophuz, Mohammed, as quoted by him in Quran, has prophesied the event one thousand one hundred years ago. Shri Mehraj explained the same to His associates.
Shri Mehraj also explained the same as was taught to Him by Shri Devchandra ji, who was graced by the Lord with the Divine Wisdom (since Lord Krishna made His heart His Abode and enlightened His Soul).
The enlightened Divine Souls used to have discussion and conversation amongst them in respect of the events, which took place. The Lord graced them with ‘His Love’. The Love of the ‘Lord’ played an important and grand role in their lives since they were ever indoctrinated with the Divine Wisdom.
Although the enlightened Divine Souls had already renounced the worldly affairs, yet some of them performed the services of their companions whole heartedly by wealth, mentality and physical activities, as could be possible.
Dhani Shri Devchandra ji entrusted Shri Mehraj Thakur with the job of searching the oblivious Divine Souls & to enlighten them as well as those also, which descended from Akshhardham, the Eternal Abode of Akshhar – the Indestructible God.
Because the Divine Souls could not get all their desires fulfilled in their previous incarnations as Gopies in Brij and Raas – the two different creations of the Universe, hence the ‘Lord’ now created the third Universe similar to the previous first one (as of Brij), so that their remaining desires (of the experience of the sorrows of the life-long separation from the ‘Lord’ as well as their forgetfulness of the self and the Lord Supreme who had HIS Abode in their hearts) could be fulfilled & thereafter in due course they could get awakened.
This third universe has been created in the dream of Akshhar, as were those created earlier and which were annihilated. Still those, who were the creatures (including the human beings) could not differentiate this third from the first, as each of them achieved the same age and state of memory as well as the situation of their houses and relatives as one had had in the first creation of the Universe prior to its annihilation; hence all of them maintained that every thing then existing had the same phenomena since long and nothing is new or unknown is surrounding them.
In due course, as prophesied in Quran, the Divine Souls (Momin – Khasal Khas – Brahmashristies) descended from Paramdham, by their consciousness and got fully involved in ‘Maya’ of the dream world. Shri Indravati duly charged also appeared in the person of Shri Mehraj with the ‘Divine Wisdom’. His aim was to search out the other Divine Souls and awaken them by the Divine Message related with the Qayamat –the Ultimate Day of Justice –the ‘Jaagni’ i.e. the awareness of self & ‘Lord Supreme Grace’.
When Dhani Shri Devchandra ji spoke, “Call for Shri Mehraj”, He asked Shri Mehraj to have a search of Shakundal & Sukumar –the two eminent Divine Souls of Paramdham, who laugh there. Accordingly, Shri Mehraj moved from Surat to different places to find out these two Divine Souls especially in order to comply with the order of His Sadguru.
Shri Devchandra ji also told Him, “With your awareness of the awakened Soul, you should discourage the illusive mentality of the mankind in order to enable the concerned Divine Souls to uproot the influence of ‘Maya’ and get awakened by your Divine Message.”
“This whole world has immersed in the deep ocean of Kaliyug –Devil. You have to eliminate the ill effects of Kaliyug so that the mankind is saved from the worldly mental anguish and every body feels happiness, when awakened by your Divine Message as early as possible i.e. very soon.
“Our motto is to unite all, and they must forget differences. You have to quote the references of Vedas & Quran as well in support of your version so that one would have faith in ‘Unity and the Oneness’ in respect of Lord Supreme.
Among those who fought for the sake of the ‘Religion of Mankind’ (Nijanand Sampradaay), Dhani Shri Devchandra ji – the Divine Soul of Shyama ji – the Better half of Lord Supreme, was the chief. He, during His life span of 73 years 11 months remained busy to establish the religious grounds for awakening the Divine Souls, who descended from Paramdham by their consciousness along with Him.
Shri Mehraj Thakur, who took over the responsibility from Shri Devchandra ji performed the religious job, better than Shri Devchandra ji through out His life. He became famous as ‘Mahamati Shri Prannath ji’.
Shri Laldas ji said that the efforts made by the good numbers of companions of Shri Mehraj are numerously   praiseworthy, which he could not describe. With the help of those companions only, Shri Mehraj roamed from place to place for spreading the Divine Wisdom in the world.
Shri Laldas ji mentioned the names of some of those associates who accompanied Shri Mehraj Thakur having renounced the worldly affairs as the ‘Lord Supreme’ graced them.
The associates had full faith in Shri Mehraj; hence they awakened by their Divine Souls and experienced their conscious presence in Paramdham. The performances of their services were the activities of Brahmashristies – Khasal Khas Momin.
                                                                           Prakaran 32 – Chopai 1482.

CHAPTER 33 – TARTAM AUR QALMA.

Shri Gobardhan Bhatt was one of the associates, who dedicated to Shri Mehraj and His wife, Smt. Tej Kunwar with his wealth by his physical services for the welfare of Sundersath; hence he was worthy of hearty thanks of all.
Bhim Bhai also accompanied him to perform services physically and with his wealth, which he collected from his home. He was a praise-worthy singer who used to sing the verses of Tartam-Vani, while he accompanied to spend his life in the service of Shri Mehraj ji.
Another fellow named Nagji, who was later on named as Gareeb Das also performed the unselfish services with all of his wealth too.
Although, Shyam ji Bhatt also left Surat to accompany Shri ji and he gave a good understanding to the other associates regarding Vedanta, with which he was fully conversant, yet he could not control his mentality and came back from some place.
The ‘Lord’ graced Nahna Bhai and Pakhadi Bhai; hence they accompanied Shri ji as long as they were alive, since they had already renounced the world including their family members.
Kanji and Ram ji with their families had accompanied Shri ji, as they were concerned with the Religion very immensely; hence they lived through out their lives with Shri ji.
Jamuna Bai recognized Shri ji as her ‘Lord’; hence she alone, having left her family, accompanied Shri ji & performed her services affectionately to the best of hers.
Chhabildas also accompanied his mother, Jamuna Bai. Shri ji accepted his services; hence he lived through out his life in the company of Sundersath.
Dhara Bhai, too, spent a few days with the company, and thereafter, he left the company and carried out the work of messenger to deliver the letters to Sundersath residing at different places.
Both, Lal Bai and Shyam Bai accompanied Smt. Tej Kunwar to please her with their hearty services, throughout their lives.
Swami Laldas ji also included his name amongst other associates. He lost all his property, hence he did not have any thing; yet he moved from place to place along with Shri ji up to Panna ji.
Later on, Sukhdeo & Manik Bhai left Surat, who met Shri ji at Merata and devoted their lives for the sake of religion and Sundersath.
In mid way, Premji Bhai joined the company of Shri ji and performed the services all along.
Shri Mehraj Thakur arrived at Ahmedabad (Gujarat) from Surat with His motto to eliminate the abnormal activities of worldly people and divert them to follow the true religion of humanity.
Shri Mehraj stayed there for four days. Thence, along with the associates He moved further and reached Siddhapur with all.
Lachhman Bhai reached Ahmedabad with his family members. He met Shri ji and explained the situation in respect of his attachment with the family. As he requested so he was permitted to stay at Ahmedabad for a short period with his family members there.
Lachhman Bhai could not accompany Shri ji at that time, as he was badly involved in the illusive world. After some days, he was fed up with the attachment-feelings of his family members as well as the business; hence he mended mentality and met Shri ji later on to perform services as long as he was alive.
At Siddhapur, Shri Mehraj stayed for twenty-two days. One, Bhagwan Das Upadhyay attended to Shri ji and associates. He pleased them with his pleasing services, rendered by him heartily.
Bhagwan Das Upadhyay was also known as Reva das. When Shri ji left Siddhapur for Palanpur, he also accompanied Him. Shri ji was pleased to fulfil his wishes.
He posed to be a pundit for the performance of ritual customs necessary at a pilgrims’ place. Shri Mehraj awarded him a golden coin in lieu of his service and asked him to go back. Since he did not know about the Divinity of Shri ji, he did not go back but expected to get more money, as he was coveted.
Then Gobardhan Bhai made him understand, saying, “Do not lose the opportunity, but recognize Shri ji. Request Him to bless you with His grace in order to benefit your soul with the Divine Message.”
Having been given to understand well by Gobardhan Bhai, Bhagwan Das Upadhyay lay before the Lotus Feet of Shri ji and requested to enlighten his soul with His preaching.
Shri ji while moving from Palanpur asked him to remember a few words –“Nijdham, Jamuna ji and Akshhardham (the Eternal Abode of the Indestructible God)”.
Shri Mehraj continued, “We played in Brij and Raas with the Lord Supreme in two different creations of the universes. Again, the third universe has been created for our sake where we have descended by our consciousness. After watching the dream drama of this third universe, we duly awakened would feel our conscious presence in Paramdham.”
Bhagwan Upadhyay adhered to the preaching very attentively. He returned to his home and kept the sacred words in his mind; but he was mum and did not talk any body.
He was silent for six months and did not speak. His friend, Keshav das Bhatt enquired of him the secrets. He told, “One Kshatriya had passed through this town.
“And He consoled me with a few (one-two) words.” Keshav das Bhatt requested him to speak the same what he heard from the Divine Personality.
Bhagwan Das repeated those words. The same were in respect of the names of a few spots of Paramdham. Keshav das Bhatt understood at once –who that Divine Personality was, whom Bhagwan Das did not recognize. He spoke, “What should I say to you? You did not understand who that Personality was.”
Keshav Bhatt continued, “He was Supreme Lord. You failed to know HIM. I have got a light in my heart, hence I am now proceeding to meet HIM.”
Keshav Bhatt left Siddhapur at the same moment without any preparation and made thorough search every where, where he met any body and ultimately reached Delhi.
There he learnt from Ram Chandra, a grocer, about the place of Shri ji’s halt. As told by him, Keshav Bhatt arrived at Lal Darwaja (a place in Delhi), where he met very eagerly with Shri ji.
He attended to adhere to the preaching of Shri ji for a couple of days. The Divine message made him to wake up from the sleep of ignorance. Thus he began to realize the originality of his soul.
He prepared himself to tell about the ‘Truth’ to those who were devils because of the influence of Kaliyug. He came back to Siddhapur in order to pull out Sundersath from the clutch of the illusive ‘Maya’ by disseminating the Divine Message, which he learnt at Delhi
At Siddhapur, Keshav Bhatt met Bhagwan Rewadas again. He explained him very well and convinced him to know about Shri Mehraj’s Personality. Keshav Bhatt admitted him in the association of Sundersath.
Keshav Bhatt also convinced Dwarka das with the details of Paramdham and the Divine Message of Shri ji, which he learnt. Dwarka das was so much impressed that he saw a light in his heart to visualize the glimpse of Paramdham. He gave up the attachment with the illusive world.
Dwarka das left his home and reached Delhi. There he joined the association and began to perform the sacred services to please Shri ji, with his intention to live with, as long as he lived.
Keshav Bhatt also convinced another Keshav Das with the Divine Wisdom. He too gave up the attachment of the illusive world and got enlightened.
Trikamdas and Ganga das had listened to the discourses of Keshav Bhatt. They were also convinced; hence they adopted the holy path of the enlightened souls. They too joined the association of Sundersath.
Withal Bhai also listened to the discourses and acquired the faith in the Religion of Mankind. He gave up the attachment with his family members and reached Delhi to meet Shri ji.
But when learnt about the programme of Shri ji in respect of the religious dispute to be held with the Emperor (Aurangzeb), due to influence of Kaliyug he became afraid of the consequences. Hence, he left Delhi and came back to his home, at Siddhapur.
Shri ji ordered Keshav das Bhatt to make a temple at his house. All Sundersath of Siddhapur (where Shri ji had stayed for twenty-two days) and a good number of people had become the disciples, but a few only who accompanied him, took interest to meet there and to listen to the Divine Message of Shri ji, which was being delivered daily and regularly by Keshav Bhatt as well as other enlightened ones.
From Siddhapur, Shri Mehraj now reached Merata. Here lived an incumbent named Labhanand practising witchcraft to enchant general public by his skill. He attended the discourses of Shri ji and discussed about the theology concerning spirituality.
Labhanand attended Shri Mehraj’s discourses continuously for ten days. He got defeated on every topic related with his principles. He realised that the importance of his doctrines related with the Sect, which he established, became quite meaningless in comparison with the sacred words of Shri ji.
In order to maintain his egoism, he became furious to teach a lesson to Shri ji. With this intention he tried to use his witchcraft skill to kill Shri Mehraj by putting the hillock load over Him. He sought help of the most powerful devils of wicked nature reciting sorcery words; but –
Neither the house building moved, nor could the hillock be uprooted. All his magic power failed, hence he sat silent and became hopeless. Shri Mehraj possessed power of the Lord Supreme and thereby was well guarded by all, how then the magic of a wicked person could work against the Grace of the Lord.
Labhanand could not reach to any decision; he thought over the problem. He did not find any way to harness his skill, hence realised his weakness and inability to face Shri ji. He withdrew himself from the scene and rested at his home.
At Merata, Ram Chandra arrived and prostrated to Shri ji. He dedicated himself to perform the sacred services to please Shri ji and the association of Sundersath for he already renounced the ‘Maya’- the illusive world.
Shri Mehraj arranged an inn at Merata for Him and the associates. Except meditation and introspection, no body among the associates had any other kind of job. Shri ji was preaching all Sundersath as well as the new entrants.
Name and fame of Shri ji spread throughout the City of Merata. The association began to swell. People from all corners started to gather just bees would gather at honey. Every body talked about Shri ji and His Divine Discourses.
Very attentively, Chapsi Bhai joined the association after he attended the discourses of Shri ji. Along with him Raghunath also joined. They have given up the attachment of their families.
Amongst Agrawal, a caste belonging to the group of businessmen and traders, Raja Ram Bhai dedicated to Shri ji along with all the members of his family. The performed the sacred services of Shri ji and all.
Along with Raja Ram, Jhajan Bhai also joined the association with all members of his family. They listened to the preaching of Shri ji and got awakened to move in the company of the association.
Makrand, Man Singh Bhai and Mohan Manohar attended the discourses of Shri ji. They achieved the Grace and had got full faith in the Divinity of Shri ji.
The other fellows who joined the association were Shardul, Nandram Bhai, Risheshwar and two others each named Jeevan das.
Swaroopde, Lakshmi Bai and Rambha Bai, who got awakened; hence the Lord on their joining the association graced them.
Jadi Bai, Kushli, Chand Bai & Mauz Bai were among those, who had been seeking the place of Shri ji and the association’s stay. They joined the association very curiously.
Others who became disciples of Shri were Bhag Bai, Tej Bai, Anoopi, Radha, Ben Bai and Murlidhar Bhai.
All those who joined the association began to attend the discourses of Shri ji regularly. They were happy to know the importance of praising gained by Sundersath.
There were so many new entrants, who joined the Sundersath’s association gradually along with the above named people and the Lord also graced them.
Raja Ram and Jhajan Bhai had devoted their lives and they managed for the expenses of the whole association of Sundersath as they were the members of the army who fought for the sake of the religion to overcome the devil. The arrangement of supplying the thin blankets for the use of Sundersath and Shri ji was also made by Raja Ram and Jhajan Bhai.
Among the Sundersath, Raja Ram was the prominent, who performed the unselfish services of the association. He grasped the Divine Wisdom by the heart.
Mana Bai had been graced by Shri ji. She was always present to please Shri ji by her hearty services as she admitted by her heart that Lord Supreme met her in the person of Shri ji.
During those days in Merata, it became a popular topic that Shri ji was delivering the discourses in respect of the Divine Wisdom, hence people from all the corners of the City happened to arrive there and listened to the Divine Discourses.
All the associates enjoyed very well on adhering to the Divine Wisdom. The achievement of the first stoppage in respect of the long journey to reach the point of Qayamat i.e. the ‘Fourth Adventist Day-event’ (as per Quran), was accomplished.
Shri Laldas ji said, “The achievement of the joy resulted in the heart of Sundersath, can not be mentioned in words. Those only who participated in the association and adhered to the preaching in respect of the Divine Wisdom experienced the unfathomable pleasure in their heart.”
Shri Mehraj heard about Jaswant Singh Rathore, who was a Rajput King, whom Aurangzeb sent to Atak to fight on his behalf at Qabul. He sent Gobardhan Bhai to meet him at Atak and deliver two letters to him.
Gobardhan reached there and contacted Jaswant Singh at a place beyond Atak. Jaswant Singh received the letters but he did not comprehend the gist of the message, contained in the letters because he was not having his soul’s relation with Paramdham. He did not follow what Shri ji intended to make him do.
Shri ji stayed at Merata for four months. One day He had been walking for a short while. He stopped at a place to listen to a particular voice.
He heard that a Muslim-priest (Mulla) started uttering loudly an Iyet for prayer-call to the Muslim-residents. The priest climbed over a tower of the mosque to speak loudly the prayer-call words. Shri ji heard the same very attentively and thought over the theme of the same.
The priest uttered – “La Illaha Illillah Mohammed-ur- Rasool-ul-Allah” (which means ‘Nothing except the Almighty is adorable and Mohammed was HIS Divine Messenger).
“La means No: Illaha is Almighty. These words give the meaning of ‘Destructible’ (Kshhar) and ‘Indestructible’ (Akshhar) and beyond that exists  ‘Super Indestructible’ (Aksharaateet). The message of Mohammed carries a great importance.”
Shri ji remembered what was told to him by Sadguru Dhani Shri Devchandra ji, that except the Divine Souls, no body would know about the ‘Super Eternal Abode’ (Paramdham), where the Lord Supreme abides. And the Divine Souls have descended on the earth from there by their consciousness only. How others (except the Divine Souls) could say about Paramdham –Illillah.
Shri Mehraj concluded that Mohammed Rasool must have said in Quran the Divine Message for us only. As such, Quran should be one of the Holy Books containing important meanings for us.
Shri Laldas ji explained that Shri Mehraj was taught by Shri Devchandra ji the essence of Vedas and other Hindus’ scriptures, which He taught to the disciples and all other attendants. Now, a new chapter related with Quran, which was uttered by Mohammed for conveying the Divine Message to the Divine Souls would be referred to as supporting document for the welfare of mankind and its religion –aiming to the ‘Unity and Fraternity’.

CHAPTER 34 – QATEB KEE POONJEE

Shri Laldas ji described in this chapter that Shri Mehraj had been preaching uptil now what was related with the Hindus’ scriptures. But on analyzing the contents of ‘Qalma’ (La Illaha Illillah), he understood the divine Knowledge contained in Quran, which he did not think over hither-to-fore.
He told Laldas, “Today, I found a mystery.” Laldas ji then requested, “Kindly reveal the same to all of us.”
Shri Mehraj explained the contents of ‘Qalma’ that “The Islamic Holy Book – Quran contains that all, which is very meaningful. Mohammed Paigambar, the Divine Messenger of the Lord brought the Sacred Words of Quran for your (Sundersath) purpose.”
Swami Shri Laldas ji expressed that the message of Mohammed contained in Quran was fully apprehended by Shri ji. The preaching of Shri Devchandra ji, related with Hindus’ scriptures was already perceived and now the mystery of Quran was also mixed with that, hence He was bestowed the lyceum degree to be called ‘Ahmed’; by that achievement, Shri Mehraj could convince every body (Hindu or Muslim) to overcome the riddles of the illusive world very easily.
Shri Mehraj then advised His disciples, “Now, go to Sultan (Emperor- Aurangzeb) and fight with him by discussion. First of all, give him an understanding to learn the meanings of the contents of Quran, so that he could perceive the correct interpretations and have faith in Divine Message (of Shri ji).
Shri Mehraj spoke, “Shri Devchandra ji told me to search out Shakundal and Sukumar (the two eminent Divine Souls), who descended in different castes of different faiths at different places. The drama of the dream world has been arranged purposefully to awaken them so that both of them, one by one, get enlightened and experience their conscious presence in the Super Eternal Abode – Paramdham.
“We have now to seek out them and disseminate the Divine Wisdom in order to reveal the mysteries of the Holy Scriptures for diverting the mind of each individual, enabling one to banish the ignorance and to overcome the riddles of the illusive world.
“The Divine Souls would get convinced with the Divine Wisdom and each of them would come beneath the banner of the Lord’s Grace.”
With the aim to search out these eminent Divine Souls, Shri ji proceeded from Merata and arrived at Agra via Gokul-Mathura.
After a few days’ halt at Agra, Shri ji moved towards Delhi. Some of the disciples of Thattanagar also reached Delhi and met Him.
Among those, who came there from Thattanagar, were Hari Ram Chaudhary, Chintamani, Lalmani and Ram Chandra. The latter stayed at Delhi for a very few days. Ishwardas das, a watchman stayed with Shri ji for two years; but he did not renounce but remained involved in the illusion of ‘Maya’.
Malookchand endeavoured to overcome the riddles of the dream world and ultimately got awakened, hence he dedicated his soul to Shri ji.
Seikhbadal, a Muslim, too, associated the company of Sundersath. He made efforts to conquer the incessant invasion of Maya. He took shelter at Shri ji’s Lotus Feet.
While Shri ji had been planning to disseminate the Divine Message to Aurangzeb, one Anant Ram also joined the association. He spent his life in the sacred service to please Shri ji and Sundersath.
On the other hand, Tulsi Bhai, Bihari das and Hriday Ram, who attended the association for a certain period, returned to join their family members.
Similarly, Hiraman, son of Hari das Bhai also returned to his home after attending to Divine Discourses for a few days with the association. .
Mukund das, who was initiated by Shri ji at Surat, arrived at Delhi and met Shri ji at Syed-Haweli (an inn where Shri ji had been staying at Delhi). His Divine Soul got fully awakened on adhering to the Divine Preaching of Shri ji.
Ram Chandra Bhai also accompanied Mukund das ji from Merata to arrive at Delhi. After a few days’ association, he settled at Delhi and performed services to please Sundersath.
Many others, who had faith in the Divine Wisdom, which was delivered to them by Shri ji, stayed for a few days at Delhi: they were staunch followers having relation with Paramdham, yet, still, some of them returned to their homes.
Side by side, there were some odd numbers of the attendants, who did not follow the sacred discourses, or   they could realise the relations of Paramdham. They were disobedient; hence the faithful association rejected them for their fault.
Gobardhan Bhai, who had gone from Merata to Atak to deliver the letters of Shri ji to Jaswant Singh Rathore, the Rajput Ruler of Rajasthan, came back at Delhi. He met Ganga Ram at his shop near Lal Darwaja. Gobardhan Bhai delivered the sacred discourses of Divine Wisdom to Ganga Ram & Aashajeet. They two got enlightened with the Divine Message of Shri ji.
Nainsukh Mahajan also heard a few sacred words of the Divine Message, delivered to him by Gobardhan Bhai. He paid attention to follow the preaching by his heart.
Gobardhan Bhai while roaming in the City met Garibdas at Urdu Bazaar. He rushed at once to meet him. Gobardhan Bhai enquired of him in respect of Shri ji’s whereabouts.
“Where are Sundersath? If Shri ji is here, where is He? I shall go there with my other followers.”
Garibdas uttered, “Shri ji along with all Sundersath has been staying in Syed-Haweli in Withal Gaur Ward - a reputed place in Delhi.
From Urdu Bazaar, Gobardhan Bhai came back to the place of his halt at Delhi. Garibdas informed Shri ji about the arrival of Gobardhan from Atak, where he had met Jaswant Singh Rathore.
Shri ji was explaining Sundersath in respect of the details of Paramdham describing the same with sketches. Meanwhile Gobardhan Bhai along with his followers arrived there. They all prostrated at the Lotus Feet of Shri ji. Gobardhan Bhai told in detail the story of his tour, which he made from Merata to Atak, where he contacted Jaswant Singh Rathore.
Shri ji and Sundersath stayed for six months at Syed-Haweli. Thereafter, Nainsukh and Dayaram made arrangements at a place at Lal Darwaja. Shri ji left Syed-Haweli and arrived at Lal Darwaja.
Swami Laldas ji said that Shri ji found the Divine Soul of Sukumar in the guise of the Emperor Aurangzeb. In order to awaken him, a letter containing twenty-two questions related with Quran was prepared by Shri ji after arriving and staying at Lal Darwaja.
Laldas ji assisted in preparing the letter, while Shri ji devoted day and night in His efforts to prepare the draft with the intention to please Shri Raj ji (the Lord) with His service.
With the letter prepared by His hard labour, Shri ji arrived at Lal Darwaja, where He arranged for accommodating Him with Sundersath in an inn (Haweli) owned by a Kshatriya.
There, Shri ji asked all his associates in respect of their opinion about the letter. The associates were given a chance to ponder over the matter and opine.  Then Shri ji asked, “Please let me know what steps should be taken to make delivery of the letter to the Emperor successfully.
Meanwhile, Aashajeet (the follower of Gobardhan Bhai) arrived there and bowed to Shri ji. Shri ji asked him also to opine as to what steps should be taken up.
Then the letter addressed to the Emperor was shown and read to Aashajeet for his knowledge. He replied that the letter was written in Hindi, which will never be entertained by the Emperor.
He further expressed, “Aurangzeb behaves with Hindus like his enemy. He believed that looking at a Hindu at a first glance in the early morning before any body else, would be a bad omen for him, as, he treats him to be a super human of the category of a Momin – Holy Man.”
He continued, “The letter written in Hindi (Hindvi) if delivered to him, he would never like to hear (on being read to him). He believes in Shariyat as he is a staunch Muslim, hence hates a non-Muslim, especially a Hindu (then why he would appreciate the script of Hindus?)
Shri ji stayed in the Kshatriya Haweli at Lal Darwaja for two months. He had been delivering His discourses related with Vedanta (Vedas) having the associates gathered there on the first floor of the Haweli (inn), where Shri ji found loneliness and peace.
A Sufi, belonging to a section of Islamic sect, used to attend the association. He was happy to listen to the gist of Quran, which Shri ji disseminated to him for a few days. He showed his anxiety to adhere to the preaching for his being a covetous entity.
Dayaram, after he listened to the Divine Preaching of Shri ji, found himself to be a prominent figure. So he became a disciple very soon.
Nainsukh had led Dayaram to attend the preaching, who was too graced by the Lord.
Dayaram made Chanchal Bhai to understand the theme of the sacred preaching. Chanchal Bhai got enlightened and became the disciple.
Any body did not teach Hari Prasad and Harkaran, but they were granted the discipleship of Shri ji.
These two brothers adhered to the Divine Message very stealthily. They joined the association.
One, Bhikaridas could not recognize Shri Mehraj as a Divine Personality, although, he listened to the preaching of Shri ji. As such, he performed the services in an ordinary way, treating Shri Mehraj as a Mahatma or a Saint like other common sages.
He paid respects to Shri ji by inviting Him and the associates at his residence and arranged a grand feast to all very happily.
Ganga Ram initiated by Gobardhan Bhai used to attend the discourses daily but he used to purchase some thing from the Bazaar and present the same to Shri ji to please Him.
Similarly, Dayaram also used to bring with him sweets and dry fruits and attended the discourses after presenting the same to Shri ji.
Chanchal Bhai could not forbid himself from picking up something stealthily from his shop; he used to present the same to Shri ji because of his hearty love.
The other members of his family took objection, hence Chanchal Bhai adopted the practice of stealing in order to escape from the anger of others. He did not pay any attention to the displeasure of his family members.
Ram Chandra, who arrived at Delhi from Merata duly accompanied with Mukund Das and also settled at Delhi, did not recognize Shri ji’s Divine Personality. Still he took interest to perform services to please Shri ji and other associates as per his capacity.
Similar was the case of Jetha Mahajan, who was pundit of Vedanta-faith. He adhered to the preaching of Shri ji very attentively but his perception was limited to the knowledge pertaining to the destructible world as other Jeevashristies were following.
Again Shri Mehraj started to think over the solution of the problem as to what steps should be taken up to make easy the attempt of reaching to the Emperor and to give him the understanding of His Divine Message. Also He considered it better to move from Delhi after completing the sacred job, because He found that devil-minded people would try to create troublesome environment.
He decided to leave Delhi for some place from where He would manage to send the Divine Message to the Emperor. As such He asked the associates to think and find out a suitable way.
Shri Mehraj then proceeded from Delhi and reached Shahjahanpur Bodia with some of the associates.
He did not have all the associates with Him while He left Delhi. He told them, whom He kept at Delhi, “I shall take proper care of you from the place where I am to reach from here.”
Swami Laldas ji concluded the chapter saying,  “O Sath ji! Please remember our Lord Supreme, who has now showered HIS Grace over us all. Now we have to adhere to the Divine Message being delivered by Shri ji and also wake up.”
